Response to What Is Privilege?:
You’re still missing the point. You’re still privileged because when you worked you were able to build up enough to go overseas. Many who work just as hard as you or even more can’t because of things outside your control. Even having money to do it and not may be based on their specific life circumstances and not just because their lazy. The point is not to assume things about people’s life.
Response to 28 Stages Every Baby Gay Goes Through:
No. With straight people, the ‘Rules’ are taught and reinforced from birth. Even when you’re breaking them; being a tom-boy or a boy who doesn’t like sports, you are consciously aware you’re breaking them. Being gay has its own set of rules that you have to seek out yourself or learn by mistakes. Worse, the rules change rapidly and differ by location, age or clique. There’s no Disney movie for us at 4. Before recently and still technically not mainstream, there is no teen movie for us. Everything is through the eyes of straight people. And that mild doesn’t always comfortably apply to queer situations.
Response to Which "Revenge" Character Are You?:
I got Nolan who is featured all of twice in this entire post, and always in the distance background. You’d never think he’s an important regular character or anything. Still. Happy I got him. He’s my favourite.
He talks so fast, you’d get the impression he was nervous. For a guy that’s done so much: Blockbuster franchise, horror, naked in theater, musical theater, etc; you wouldn’t think he ever gets nervous anymore.
