Jonah totally would have just made his dad an online dating profile instead of calling into a talk show and then have Sam and Annie casually meet for coffee rather than plan an elaborate trip to the top of the Empire State Building.

Marion probably would have just found a hotel online and would never have randomly stopped at the creepy Bates Motel. Or she would have at least looked up the Bates Motel and seen that it had a suspicious lack of reviews.
