Growing up as a black child in a white family, my parents were great but I never learned anything about my culture from them. I wish that had been more of my upbringing in my household instead of having to search for information myself.
Nobody takes the favours unless it’s something like a candy bar or a small edible treat that they can consume at the wedding. People don’t take these home! (And sorry but 12 mugs for $75? As favours??! Ridiculous)
Our moms made us these mix and match fully sequinned outfits (complete with frilly gloves) and I would wear mine for all occasions. Including play dates with friends in their regular jeans and T-shirts. You can never be too over dressed?
