We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Oh, and FYI β€” prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. A large chain necklace you can wear by itself for a simple elevated look or pair with your other favorite necklaces for a very on-trend layered look. The possibilities are endless with this staple.

    Kayla Boyd / BuzzFeed

"Chunky gold chain necklaces have really been on trend this summer. I love them because they're kind of simple but still have a pretty bold style impact. I bought this one because BaubleBar is one of my go-to accessory shops, and they had a lot of great options. I like this one because it's so easy to add to a simple T-shirt or sweatshirt and make it look instantly more elevated." β€”Kayla Boyd

Get it from Baublebar for $48.

    2. A pillow spray made with a blend of lavender, vetivert, and camomile you spritz on your pillow before bed to help calm your nerves so you can drift off to dreamland in no time.

Model's hand holding the white spray bottle with the words "deep sleep pillow spray" written on it in blue

"Getting sticker shock? You only use a few sprays so this thing'll last awhile. Plus I've woken up lots of mornings in my life wishing I'd paid $25 for just one night of good sleep. The packaging recs spraying it on your bedding but I find a spray on each of my queen-size bed's two pillows is plenty to help put me in the mood to drool all over my pillows. That's how you KNOW the sleep is good (or at least for me). It's fine to spray right before getting into bed *and* will even look nice sitting on your nightstand in case you're someone (like me) who remembers all the things you need to do before bed once you crawl into bed." β€”Elizabeth Lilly

Get it from Amazon for $23.94.

    3. A rapid egg cooker you can use to make hard-, medium-, or soft-boiled eggs in a matter of minutes. So goodbye to not knowing what you're going to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner this week.

"I've owned one of these babies and have faithfully used it every week for upward of two years, and especially love it during quarantine β€” it simplifies breakfast because I know no matter what weird assortment of groceries I'm working with, there are pre-cooked eggs to add some protein to it (I like mine medium-boiled 🍳). If my dinner is boring or seems like it needs a little extra 'oomph' to it, I'll throw in an egg from this too. Some reviews note that the alarm on it is a little loud, but the new models have significantly decreased the volume and sing a little song instead!" β€”Emma Lord

Get it from Amazon for $16.99 (available in five colors).

    4. A notepad that sadly won't ~magically~ finish all the items on your to-do list, but *will* give you a place to keep track of everything you need to accomplish.

Purple notepads with "spell list" written on the top, lines for notes, and illustrations of a witch, stars, a ghost, a cat, and potions around the outside
    Sophie Heywood / Etsy

Sophie Heywood is a woman-owned brand that has been creating illustrated products from Manchester, United Kingdom since 2013. This notepad is made from recycled paper that the illustrator made after not finding one they liked.

"Having a long to-do list is a lot more fun when it's framed as your list of spells! This magical notepad will help you get through chores in record time, and you won't even have to magically animate your brooms to help! (We all know how that goes.)" β€”Rebecca O' Connell

Get it from Sophie Heywood on Etsy for $6.53.

    5. Love Beauty & Planet shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in cream infused with coconut oil and argan oil to calm frizz and leave your hair feeling and looking smooth, and maybe even calming yourself too, as you inhale the nice lavender smell while you wash your hair.

Bottles of shampoo and conditioner with a purple floral wrapper around them in a shower with a white shower pouf sitting next to them
Love Beauty And Planet / Via

"This set has become my go-to for my usual shower routine. The smell makes it feel like a spa-like experience every time I wash my hair. I find myself deeply inhaling and exhaling without even trying. It's magic. I also love that Love Beauty and Planet are working toward having everything in their products made from sustainable sources by 2020 and that their bottles are made from 100% recycled materials." β€”Heather Braga

Get the set from Amazon for $20.70.

    6. A pair of slip-on sneakers with a super-secret fold down in the back, making it even easier to get them on your feet.

    Olukai / Via, Nordstrom

These are some of my favorite shoes in my closet. They're such a classic style and really go with everything β€” plus the fold in the back is actually extremely useful. Once, I took a workout class and was getting ready in the dressing room after. I was able to keep my shoes on, but also get ready and not worry about my feet touching the floor (because who knows what was on there). Plus, I can just slip them on when I'm in a rush or just too lazy to put them on all the way without fear of ruining them. They show no signs of going out of style. I'm a fan.

Get them from Nordstrom for $99.95 (available in women's sizes 5-11 and in nine styles).

    7. An essential oil set you put into a diffuser to fill the room with a nice aroma that can help you concentrate on your work and make you feel calm or even more alert, depending on how you're feeling that day.

The six oil bottles in a box

This set includes bottles of lemongrass, which is great for calmness and clarity, peppermint for concentration and clear thinking, orange for optimism and peace, lavender for cognitive functions and alertness, eucalyptus for optimism and concentration, and tea tree oil for mental strength and calmness.

"I bought these essential oils alongside a diffuser. I had never purchased essential oils before, and I was a liiiittle overwhelmed by all the options, but I'm glad I picked this set. Since I knew these would be used in our house, I wanted a set of scents that weren't too overpowering since some people in my family have sensitive noses, and these fit the bill! The orange scent is everyone's favorite β€” it's nice and citrus-y and immediately brightens my mood. I usually add three to four drops in our diffuser, but you can add more or less depending on how strong you want the scent to be." β€”Jasmin Suknanan

Get a set of six from Amazon for $9.99.

    8. CeraVe moisturizing lotion that has SPF30 in it, so you can moisturize *and* protect your skin in the morning with a simple one-two punch of a product you'll love because it will feel lightweight on your skin as it works to restore and maintain your skin's natural protective barrier.

BuzzFeed Shopping editor wearing the lotion to show its light texture while holding the bottle
    Rebecca O' Connell / BuzzFeed

"You know how everyone is always on your case about wearing sunscreen EVERY SINGLE DAY? And maybe you're wondering how you could possibly fit yet another item into your packed skincare routine? The solution is simple: a moisturizer with SPF 30. This lazy and economical option means you can continue your usual routine and just sneak in the SPF, kinda like how parents sneak vegetables into their kids' food. There are lots of options on the market, but I always opt for the cult-favorite basic: CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM! It's oil-free, fragrance-free, absorbs easily, and boasts MVP ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides (1, 3, 6 II). I wear this every single morning, and probably will for as long as the pharmacy will sell it to me. The hyaluronic acid hydrates and the ceramides help restore the skin barrier and increase moisture levels. In other words, it makes your skin silky soft.

I have ultra-sensitive skin β€” like truly diva-level, gets-red-from-everything kind of skin β€” and I have never had a problem with any CeraVe products. In conclusion, this is a non-irritating, affordable option for non-fussy people who just wanna tear through their skincare routine and get out the door." β€”Rebecca O' Connell

Get it from Amazon for $13.47.

    9. A customized necklace for the ultimate sweetest touch you can wear every single day. You can bring a drawing, letter, or other sentimental items to life and keep it close to you al all times.

(left): A personalized gold heart necklace on a chain (right) A signed Taylor Swift Lover album
    Samantha Wieder / BuzzFeed

Caitlyn Minimalist is a woman-owned business that has been crafting dainty personalized jewelry since 2014. This necklace is handmade and made to order.

"I've never ordered anything personalized on Etsy before, and I'm not sure why, but I ordered this necklace with low expectations. I wanted to get the heart from my Taylor Swift autograph turned into a necklace, but I didn't want to pay a ton of money for it, either. First of all, the seller, Caitlyn Minimalist, sent me sketches of the heart and made sure I was happy with it before proceeding to make the necklace! I actually received the necklace a few days earlier than anticipated, which was a really nice surprise! And it doesn't look or feel cheap at all! It's one of my favorite necklaces I own!" β€”Samantha Wieder

Get it from Caitlyn Minimalist on Etsy for $29.62+ (originally $39.50; available in three finishes and nine chain lengths).

    10. A Casper nap pillow specifically designed to be small (without lacking on the comfort) for your small naps when you're away from home.

"If you added up every traditional pillow I've owned in my life it wouldn't come close to the number of travel pillows I currently have stuffed under my bed. They're my favorite impulse buy by far. Some will never see the light of day again, some are totally great, and some (this Casper pillow included) are the reason I go on trips in the first place. This pillow is lightweight, easy to pack, and ultimately proves that there's no topping a rectangular pillow when it comes to comfort. This is easy to sleep on any way you want it and comfortable no matter where you use it. Get it and get your snooze on, stat!" β€”Mallory Mower

Get it from Amazon for $35.

    11. Sheer sculpting shorts you ~sheerly~ need this summer because they'll help smooth you out but still let you breathe so you don't overheat the minute you step outside.

Model wearing a black bra and black shaping shorts in sheer black

"Raise your hand if you've ever turned yourself into a sweaty mess thanks to wearing shapewear in the humid summer heat. ::raises both hands:: When SKIMS dropped their sheer line, I nabbed a pair of these in Clay (the second lightest color that also happens to most closely match my skin tone). I've worn them around the house (thanks, quar) under slinkier sundresses and love how they help with the air flow while still doing what shapewear promises. Not that I'd normally wear shapewear around the house, but I couldn't wait to try out those shorts!" β€”Elizabeth Lilly

Get them from Skims for $44 (available in women's sizes XXS-4X and in five shades).

    12. A makeup organizer with places to put brushes and other makeup on top in compartments and then drawers below for other accessories or medication so you don't spend 15 minutes digging through everything to find that one hair clip you want to wear right now.

The clear makeup organizer with two full-size drawers and two half drawers and places on top to store makeup and other things
    Samantha Wieder / BuzzFeed

"At first I wasn't sure how I felt about this. Based off the picture in the product listing, I thought the whole thing was either one-piece or the top organizer and the drawers snapped together, which isn't the case. You can put the top piece on top of the drawers, but just know it doesn't snap together. Anyways, I've come to love this. Not only do I keep makeup and brushes on the top part, I also use some extra room in it for Band-Aids, cotton swabs, and a nail clipper. I store my headbands as well as various medications in the bottom drawers. It's so much easier to store my cosmetics in here than having to rummage through a messy makeup pouch!" β€”Samantha Wieder

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    13. Magpie stud earrings that'll be a ~tweet~ little addition to any outfit without weighing your ears down and causing them to hurt by the end of the day.

Stud earrings that look like a Magpie bird with black, white, blue, and green colors on it
    Cake For Corvids / Etsy

Cake For Corvids is a woman-owned business creating jewelry and accessories inspired by nature from Flitwick, United Kingdom since 2014. All of the items are handmade and designed in the owner's home studio. These earrings are made out of lightweight plastic and are 2cm by 1.5 cm in size.

"I am really into birds (it's a whole thing) and very, very picky about jewelry, and these are absolutely stunning IRL. The detailing of them is absolutely gorgeous, and they're very easy and comfortable to wear. The seller was also very helpful and kind." β€” Emma Lord

Get it from Cake For Corvids on Etsy for $13.06.

    14. Cooling undereye patches with hydrolyzed elastin that restores tone and firmness, acetyle hex peptide to reduce the appearance of fine lines, ginkgo balboa leaf extract to improve blood flow to reduce puffiness, coenzyme Q10 that fights free radicals to stop premature aging, and a nice cooling effect that will give you some instant relief.

The packaging for the eye patches with writing and a small picture of a model's face and then two small packages of the eye patches showing their size
    Skyn Iceland

"I've used these and they are V cool as soon as you apply them to your undereyes! I love using them in the summer or in the winter when I can't seem to escape the hot winter heat of my apartment." β€”Elizabeth Lilly

Get an eight-pack from Amazon for $32 (also available in 4-, 12-, and 16-pack).

    15. A hair scalp massager that has thick soft silicone bristles that get all the way down to your scalp to stimulate blood flow and deep clean and exfoliate while you shampoo. Plus, it's oh-so relaxing and brings the super nice massage you get at the hairdresser right into your home.

"I have one of these babies and it really is wonderful. Not only does it make me feel like I'm really getting in there while I'm washing my hair, but it also re-creates that feeling you get when your hairdresser massages your head while washing it. Ugh, so good." β€”Heather Braga

Get it from Amazon for $8.59+ (available in green, pink, and purple).

    16. A set of Magna-Tiles with illustrations from the classic story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle so your child can recreate the story, build 3D versions of the characters, and learn to count at the same time. Your kid will find it so fun and entertaining that they won't even realize they're also learning! Now that's a win-win.

A small model kneeling on the floor and playing with a set of square tiles that have illustrations of animals and numbers on them

The set is recommended for ages 3+. It comes with 16 three-inch square tiles that have illustrations and numbers on them.

"If you're a parent, chances are there is an Eric Carle book in your child's library, be it The Grouchy Ladybug or The Very Busy Spider or a personal favorite of mine, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? I introduced the Papa Please Get the Moon For Me set to my 1-year-old, and he's totally into it. Well, he's totally into destroying whatever I build with it. As an added bonus, the Magna-Tiles kind of feel and sound like cassettes, which will immediately take you back to the days of your youth making mixtapes." β€”John Mihaly

Get it from Target for $34.99.

    17. A Mr. Coffee drip coffee machine aka a no-fuss, no-frills budget-friendly machine that will stand the test of time and give you that delicious java that's basically the reason you wake up in the morning.

BuzzFeed shopping writer standing next to the coffee machine with the words "I love you!" and "I love you, too!" in bubbles around both of them
    Rachel Dunkel / BuzzFeed

"I'll admit, I can be prone to coffee snobbery now and again. I have just about every appliance, tool, and gadget to make coffee this way and that, but there's one I always come back to β€” the Mr. Coffee. My dad has used a Mr. Coffee basically every morning since the beginning of time, so when I got my first apartment β€” finally free of the "no cooking appliances" rule ubiquitous to college dorm life β€” of COURSE I bought the cheapest 12-Cup Mr. Coffee drip pot I could find. That same pot has been with me ever since (for over six years!), quickly brewing up cup after steaming cup of coffee for my roommates, friends, and me, never failing to make my morning and little better. It has also survived many, many moves while packed in pretty precarious boxes. TL;DR: it's also durable.

If you've somehow never made drip coffee before, listen, it's really easy. Just pop in a filter, fill it with coffee, fill the machine with water, and flip the switch. Boom! You've got java. Most mornings, flipping literally one switch is all I feel capable of, and Mr. Coffee thinks that's just fine! Is it an artisanal cup of coffee? No. But is it delicious and plentiful and quick and easy? Heck yes. I fully support making a lil' pour-over as a treat, but for an everyday pot for yourself and every coffee drinker in the house? Unbeatable." β€”Rachel Dunkel

Get it from Amazon for $24.99 (available in black and white).

And read Rachel's full review in "Why A Mr. Coffee Drip Pot Is My Favorite Way To Make A Reliable Cup Of Coffee".

    18. Colourpop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic concealer great for anyone who wants to cover any dark circles (that may not go away even if you get plenty of sleep!!! ugh) *and* keep their under-eye moisturized, as it's made with hyaluronic acid and coconut water for that extra dose of hydration.

BuzzFeed Shopping writer holding the concealer bottle close to her face showing how she doesn't have undereye bags
    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

"Dark circles are one of those things that, no matter how much sleep I get or how much water I drink, just don’t go away. They are always present. Like did I get enough sleep last night? Yes, I did actually, it merely looks like I closed my eyes for only five seconds. It’s rough.

So tl;dr: Concealer is a must-have for me in general and while there are a few I love (especially Charlotte Tilbury Nars), changing weather makes my skin super dry AKA my concealer begins to look cakey the moment a burst of cold wind hits my face. But that is not so with the newest ColourPop Pretty Fresh formula! This stuff provides truly awesome coverage and is loaded with hyaluronic acid and coconut water, both of which work in perfect harmony to give dark circles and blemishes a boost of hydration. It lasts, it doesn’t crease, and the doe-foot wand makes application a summer breeze. And it’s also less than $10 and cruelty-free? It’s almost too good to be true." β€”AnaMaria Glavan

Get it from Colourpop for $9 (available in 30 shades).

    19. An OXO double-ended laptop cleaning brush with a microfiber pad on one side to clean the screen that when it goes dark shows just how much dirt you've been staring at all day *and* a retractable brush to get in between the keys to clean the dust and crumbs from your 3 p.m. snack that somehow found its way into your keyboard. Your computer will basically feel brand new after this deep clean.

"I have this at my desk in the office (and now at my kitchen table workspace for WFH) and love it! It has a microfiber tip on one side and the WORLD'S SOFTEST retractable bristles on the other. Like, I use this thing more as a fidget toy and for petting the bristles than for cleaning. My laptop is so gross that it's a little past hope, but this has tools have definitely helped make clearing out crumbs and erasing smudges easier and cleaning my computer more fun. It's extra handy for the rest of my desk and swiping away post-lunch debris!" β€”Katy Herman

Get it from Amazon for $9.99.

    20. Plain white face masks for anyone who wants to add their own flair to their face covering. Or maybe you just want a plain mask. Either way is great.

Now I have five cool tie-dye face masks for basically the price of one. They fit comfortably and breathe really well! I recommend for any crafty people looking for an affordable basic that they can make their own." β€”Rebecca O'Connell

    21. Heritage Store alcohol-free rosewater toner specifically made to restore your skin's pH balance to refresh and soothe your skin with the hyaluronic acid and sodium PCA. It's also great for anyone dealing with stress acne, as it will help keep your moisturizer working even if you apply drying products to any breakout.

BuzzFeed shopping writer hand holding the toner bottle in her hand
    Marquaysa Battle / BuzzFeed

"I use this and can confidently share is the TRUTH for restoring your skin's pH balance and splashing you with hyaluronic acid that helps the skin hold onto moisture better. How's it help with stress acne? Well, while you're applying those drying acne products to those breakouts, this toner makes sure your skin doesn't lose the effectiveness of whatever moisturizer you put on.

Hear me out, peeps: Per my years in beauty reporting, I learned that super dried-out skin can produce even more oil which will clog up pores and actually encourage additional acne breakouts. This is why people with a dry skin type often run into an increase in breakouts when they start using acne products. They think the product is worsening the problem and it is β€” but only because of the other things your skin is lacking while you're using it. Anywho, this toner is friendly for all skin types (yep, even my super-sensitive skin) vegan, alcohol-, and cruelty-free. It's meant to be used after cleanser and before moisturizer." β€”Marquaysa Battle

Get it from Amazon for $9.49.

    22. A Wi-Fi-enabled dog camera to help give you peace of mind and make sure your furry friend isn't getting into too much trouble when you're not home.

The dog camera and a cell phone displaying a photo of a large Collie mix

"I'll admit it: I'm a neurotic dog mom. There are many more expensive dog cameras like the Furbo and Google Nest, but it would be hard to find a better value camera than the IMILLET. It may seem like a very ~extra~ purchase, but I have gotten tons of use out of my dog camera. It gives me a lot of comfort to be able to see when the dog walker actually arrived for Hudson's walks or to check in on him from work on days he wasn't feeling well." β€”Hannah Loewentheil

Get it from Amazon for $36.99.

    23. Cetaphil Pro's Dermocontrol Purifying clay mask made with bentonite clay to absorb oil, Amazonian clay to gently exfoliate, apple fruit extract to hydrate, and cucumber seed extract to brighten even the most sensitive of skin.,

"This mask has changed my life. Which I know sounds so dramatic but it's true and it's why I put it at number one. It has a very creamy and cooling consistency which I apply with a face mask brush (but it comes with a small applicator), I let it sit for about 20 minutes and then remove with a face sponge soaked in warm water. The difference in my skin β€” my sensitive, acne-prone skin β€” is astonishing after just one use. My pores shrunk down so much! I went from having what looked like a strawberry for a nose to just a regular, smooth nose! I haven't shut up about it since I started using it. Now I apply it every three days, it's honestly my new religion. I wish it came in a bigger jar so I could cover my entire body in it. I'm not even joking. I love it so hard. I will never stop using this mask. NEVER." β€”Elena Garcia

Get it from Amazon for $11.99.

    24. A modern sofa people will think you spent so much more on than you did. Couches are expensive, but this has the quality without the high cost.

The sofa in dark grey with three seat-back cushions and tufted seat in a room

I got this when I moved to a new apartment last year and wanted to upgrade my couch situation without spending a ton of money. This couch is great because it looks super chic, is actually very comfortable, and is a great price. It fits in my small-ish space (hello NYC living), and was actually super easy to put together (it did need two people, but it only took about 10 minutes). Plus, most of the pieces came stored in the base of the couch, so I can easily take it apart and do that again if I (ever) decide to move.

Get it from Walmart for $429.
