I hate when people think it’s not a real disease, because most of the time there aren’t any physical symptoms, unless you’re having a panic attack. Constantly trying to figure out what’s gonna go wrong, and stressing little things can have a pretty big impact on your life. And don’t even get me started on the people that act like you should be ashamed of having anxiety. Last time I checked we don’t shame people for having physical illnesses like arthritis, so why the shame that comes with a mental illness? It’s still an illness, and we have no control over having it.

This makes me so sad that I’m not returning this year. First year in the past 15 years out of my whole 20, that I will not be attending, or working at the camp that has become my second home.
