Let me explain '6th form'.
Not really that many years ago, school began at age 5 with infant school for 2 years. The infant school was usually part of primary school. At age 7 children would just primary school proper in the 1st year.…Â
School teachers used to be called school masters. So headmaster was just the top teacher. I think principle is used as much these days.
