Looked this up just to make sure, and while Joplin’s tornado was horrible and devastating, it wasn’t the deadliest or largest, though I’m not sure why that matters. Since we’re all about getting facts straight, Wiki says the highest winds recorded were in the May 3rd tornado. It did say that Joplin’s was the costliest in recent history.   All tornados that cost lives and homes are horrible.. it’s not a competition.
