Here's Everything You Need To Know About Taskmaster, The Supervillain In The Solo "Black Widow" Movie

No word yet on who will play him, though!

By now, you've already heard that Black Widow is getting her own solo movie.

The standalone film will kick off Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and show Natasha in a "pretty broken-down place" until she is able to "build herself back up and pull all the pieces together."

Even more exciting is the fact that we already know who the ass-kicking Avenger will face off with when the film hits theaters on May 1, 2020.

Over the weekend, Andy Park, Marvel Studios' director of visual development, unveiled the first concept art for the movie, which shows Black Widow battling Taskmaster.

The supervillain made his first appearance in The Avengers comic book series in 1980. His superpowers include the ability to memorize and mimic his opponents physical movements by simply watching them in action.

As far as his signature look goes, Taskmaster wears a hood over his head and also has a protective shield very similar to the one Captain America uses.

In the comics, Taskmaster studied superheroes and used his skills to teach other "wannabe hoods" how to become supervillains as well.

No word yet on who will play the film's big bad, but fingers crossed it'll be someone talented enough to pull off such a menacing role.

Black Widow is set to be directed by Cate Shortland and will star David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, O-T Fagbenle, and Florence Pugh alongside Scarlett Johansson.
