We all adore Prince Harry's marriage with Meghan Markle.
The two have been together since July 2016 and recently welcomed a sweet baby boy named Archie in May.
But just months before Meghan entered the picture, there was another American who almost dated the royal heir.
Enter Jenna Bush Hager, former first daughter to President George W. Bush who served from 2001-2009.
Jenna recently dished about the time she tried to hook up Prince Harry with her twin sister, Barbara Bush.
"I interviewed Prince Harry once. We get to the shoot, we're at the Invictus Games. It is so sunny...we can barely open our eyes," the Today show co-host recalled.
Turns out, when royalty suggests that you wear sunglasses, you wear sunglasses.
However, according to Jenna, the sunglasses served as a major "barrier" for her matchmaking skills. "I felt like maybe if he could see straight into my eyes...that could have worked if my sunglasses weren't blocking that match [with Barbara]," she shared.
“He said, ‘Let’s talk later.’ But then he got married to Meghan Markle,” she added. Jenna also told E! News that her sister was "humiliated" by her attempt. But that's what sisters are for, am I right?
Fortunately, everything worked out for the best. Barbara married screenwriter Craig Coyne in Maine last October. And we all know how Prince Harry's love life turned out.
