People Are Sharing Things They've Made During Quarantine, And They're Equal Parts Inspiring And Wholesome

    No accomplishment is small.

Recently, we asked the BuzzFeed Community to show-and-tell us what they've made while in quarantine, with no accomplishment being too small! So without further ado, here are 47 of our favorite entries:

    1. "I finished a quilt that I started 20 years ago!"

A woman proudly holding up a patchwork quilt that's bigger than she is

    2. "I designed and built my dog a mini Adirondack chair for his 10th birthday. Now he has a seat on the patio with us!"

A Bassett Hound sitting in a wide Adirondack chair/dog bed hybrid while wearing a birthday hat and holding balloons

    3. "I decided to make my own birthday cake! I’m a rock nerd, so I made it a geode style. It was so beautiful, but incredibly time-consuming."

    4. "My baby. Born in the middle of this chaos. Our last trimester was in quarantine."

    A mother holding her baby

    5. "A store in my town closed down due to COVID, so I rescued all of the thrown-out mannequins. I restored them and painted this pride one for my dad, who is gay and going through chemo."

    6. "I took up drawing after years of being intimidated by it. I worked as a dental assistant before the pandemic, but now I have my own business making cute dental stickers and pins! I've already earned back what I invested in it after two months!!!"

    7. "I did a paint by number of the 'Mona Lisa.' I call her 'Corona Lisa.'"

    8. "I made social media accounts for my rubber-duck collection. Eventually I started painting parodies of classical art using them as models, and that got super popular online! A lot of people were requesting prints, so my roommates and I decided to open an Etsy shop, and it's been super successful! The work I'm proudest of is my version of Raphael's 'The School of Athens,' which took three months to paint."

    9. "We converted a closet in our house into this badass wine cellar!"

    10. "I learned needle felting and made this little hedgehog!"

    11. "It’s not much, but I’ve always loved those cookie decorating videos on Instagram, so I’ve been trying it out! I’ve got a lot to learn, but hey, plenty of time in quarantine!"

    12. "Fostered and found homes for a stray mama cat who had three babies in my yard."

    13. "I got into sketching! Here are my drawings of Ariana Grande and Beyoncé!"

    14. "My sister turned 21 during the stay-at-home orders, so we had to celebrate in a small group setting at home. I made her this '21' cake, and we surprised her with a drive-by parade of her friends giving birthday wishes. She was STOKED!"

    15. "Not a super-big thing, but I planted a small veggie garden. It's my first time gardening, and I'm so excited to actually have tomatoes, cucumbers, and eggplant that will soon be ready to pick. My kids are especially happy to go check on it every day and see what's changed."

    16. "My bagels!!!!! My whole family is hooked — I’ve gotten pretty good! I even made my own 'everything'-bagel seasoning so I don’t have to make the extra trip to Trader Joe’s."

    17. "We bought a house recently, and the previous owners built a sunroom in the '80s. It had brown-and-orange shag carpet and yellow walls. I tore up the carpet, painted the floor, painted the ceiling white, hung whimsical tulle curtains, and added some furniture! Pic is mid-renovation compared with the finished room!"

    18. "I don’t have a picture of it, but my friend and I finally wrote and finished the screenplay we’ve been talking about for years! We’ve submitted it to two competitions so far."

Although sometimes, getting an octopus into a Pringles tube would've been easier, she became top of her school at spelling, and has majorly grown in confidence. Teaching her to make the best of a bad situation by staying positive has taught me a lot too!"
