Jennifer Garner was a guest on The Tonight Show last night — via FaceTime, of course — and in her conversation with Jimmy Fallon, she opened up about how hard it is to get her parents to stay home despite the coronavirus pandemic.

It all started when Jimmy asked Jennifer how her kids were handling the isolation.
According to Jennifer, the kids are doing just fine:
I think I have the perfect aged kids for this, because they're big enough to understand, and have the conversations, like, "We're built for challenge. We can do this. We're a tough team."
Her parents, on the other hand? They haven't quite grasped the importance of social distancing yet.
"My parents. My parents are the hard ones," she said.
"I'm like, 'Dad. Mom. The world is shut down to keep you guys safe.' And they're like, 'We think we're gonna go to Sam's Warehouse."
"'Stay home! You have to stay home!'" she said she tells them.
But Jennifer also took the opportunity to remind viewers about the importance of social distancing and flattening the curve.
"We have a job to do. We're doing it. We're staying home. We're just flattening that curve," she said.
Unfortunately, I think many of us can relate to Jennifer's struggle with her parents. Despite the fact that older adults are some of the most at risk if they become infected with COVID-19, many people have shared stories about how difficult it is to get their parents to take the threat seriously.

So, if you're reading this, please call your older loved ones today and make sure they're isolating. And maybe ask if there's anything you can bring them, like groceries or medication. Let's all do our part to help them stay home!
