People Are Calling Evangeline Lilly "Irresponsible" For Refusing To Socially Distance

"I think we all need to slow down, take a breath, and look at the facts."

With the coronavirus pandemic affecting countries all over the world, residents have been advised to practice social distancing in order to reduce the spread of the disease.

While many people are learning the best way to keep their distance and their sanity...

...there are also those who aren't 100% convinced about the risk.

And one of those people is Marvel actor Evangeline Lilly.

Earlier this week, she posted this photo and caption on Instagram after dropping her kids off at gymnastics camp.

As you might expect, the post was met with comments and questions regarding her decision to let her kids play in a public space.

But Evangeline was not afraid to speak on the matter, responding to those who differed in opinion as well as those who shared similar views.

"I am also immune compromised at the moment," Evangeline responded to one commenter. "I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over their freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices."

She said, "I think we all need to slow down, take a breath, and look at the facts we are being presented with." She believes that "they do not add up to the all-out, global lockdown, control, pandemonium and insanity we are experiencing."

"Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of respiratory flu. It's unnerving," Evangeline added.

"Let's be vigilant right now. And kind — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don't abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power," she concluded.

Evangeline even suggested that "something" big always happens around election season.

And with new updates and information about the coronavirus being released (what seems like) every 15 minutes, Evangeline admitted that she has conversations with people daily that make her consider and reconsider her position.
