"Bridgerton" Will Receive A Season 3 And 4, And Here's Everything We Know So Far

"Bridgerton shall return for seasons three and four. This author shall have to purchase more ink..."

If you love all things Bridgerton, well, there is some ~pretty~ exciting news for you. Two more seasons of the show have just been announced by Netflix!

This welcome and yet unexpected announcement comes before production on season two – a series that will explore the love life of Anthony, Viscount Bridgerton – has even finished!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE TON 🚨 Bridgerton is returning for seasons three *AND* four!

I mean, when 82 million households tune in to watch something, one does assume there will be A LOT more of it!

Based on Julia Quinn’s series of period romance novels, the first season of Bridgerton took the world by storm, becoming Netflix's most-watched original series ever. The announcement that the show will get at least get four seasons comes in a trademark society paper from Lady Whistledown herself!

Of the renewal, Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes has said: "from the first time I read Julia Quinn’s delicious Bridgerton series, I knew these were stories that would captivate a viewing audience. But the evolution of this adaptation would not be a success without the many significant contributions of the entire Shondaland team."

Although we know that Lord Anthony Bridgerton's quest for love will form the storyline for Bridgerton season two, it has yet to be confirmed who seasons three and four will focus on. But if the series stays true to the books, it will likely explore Benedict Bridgerton and Colin Bridgerton's love lives, respectively!

What is likely not to change, is that Regé-Jean Page will not reappear as the dapper Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett. I know, everyone cry on 1...2...3!

Seasons three and four of Bridgerton have yet to go into production so it's likely we won't see them on Netflix any time soon, but with season two currently filming, I doubt it will be long before we all get to return to the Ton!
