Don't believe me? Let's go back to the start and examine ALL the evidence:

1. Our girl started 2017 strong by releasing her second fire mixtape in January named "Gangsta Bitch Vol. 2".

This is also marks the first time Cardi worked with Migos' Offset on her single "Lick."

The album immediately jumped into the #2 slot on iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap albums, because of course it did.

2. Not too long after, Cardi was offered a small role in BET's Being Mary Jane and proved that our girl can do more than just rap.

3. She then started traveling the country and gettin' schmoney with rap icons Lil' Kim and Remy Ma.

4. All while her killer fashion choices were being recognized by a littleeeee publication called Vogue.

5. Come March, Cardi dropped this INCREDIBLE freestyle named "Red Barz" and reached a whopping 35 million views on YouTube alone.

It made fans out of haters that was used to be real salty 'bout her.

6. Now fast forward to June, when Cardi released the song that changed her life and got me mine, "Bodak Yellow".

Atlantic Records

7. The song's reach started off a bit slow, but it's climb on the Billboard charts was definitely worth noting.

8. Her already huge fan base began growing at a much quicker pace, so 2017 became the year Bardigang was born.

9. Cardi then got featured on the cover of Fader's summer music issue which is kinda a big deal, ya know?

10. Her music began circulating much further than ever before and stars like Kevin Hart, Ludacris....

...and Demi Lovato were all taking note of just how iconic she is.

11. Bodak eventually made a monumental climb into the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100.

I think you know where this is going.

12. And Cardi celebrated by attending the VMAs AND performing Bodak for the pre-show.

13. But then came one of THE BEST moments of 2017, when Cardi finally hit #1 on the Hot 100!

At only 24 years old, Cardi made history by becoming the second female rapper to lead the chart without a feature.

The first was Lauryn Hill with "Doo-Wop (That Thing)" in 1998. She also dethroned Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do."

14. Hollywood's greatest came out in droves to congratulate her on her much deserved success.

15. Amongst all this wonderful chaos, Cardi was then the biggest winner at the BET awards, winning five of the nine awards she was nominated for: Single of the Year, Best New Hip-Hop Artist, Hustler of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Style, and Best Mixtape.

16. And if five awards and #1 song wasn't enough to celebrate, Cardi's boyfriend Offset decided to put a ring on it!

17. I'd also like to note that Cardi was once one of Rolling Stone's "new artists you need to know" in 2016.

this almost made me cry .Thanks rolling stone ..but you know we be in the studio for no reason ..a hater would say😂

And in October of this year, our girl was given the opportunity to grace the muthafucking COVER of Rolling Stone.

18. Now, to finally wrap up this success story with a nice big bow, Cardi ended her best year yet by getting two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

People really hating on Cardi B’s nomination for 2 Grammys, 2017 has definitely been her year. Bodak Yellow deserve…

There's no denying that Cardi B had a life-changing year, and frankly, I can't wait to see what she has in store for 2018.
