    Because the little things matter.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. The Obol Bowl, which has two sections (and a little bridge between 'em) so every single bite of cereal you take is your personal ideal level of crispiness.

Your cereal stays nice in dry in the top part of the bowl, but you can easily pull it into the milk bite by bite, depending on your preferred crunch to milk–ratio.

Promising review: "I've all but stopped eating cereal because I'm not a fast eater and most the cereal would get soggy or I'd have to keep shaking in a little at a time. I LOVE THIS BOWL. I can choose how much cereal I want to go into the milk and if I have to stop for a moment to do something, I pick up where I left off. I purchased the large size and let me tell you.. its large! I probably would have been better off with the medium but either way, this bowl is great for those who hate soggy cereal." —Linda E

Get it on Amazon for $14.95+ (available in two sizes).

    2. Two ceiling fan charms because it's just hands-down annoying to accidentally switch on the lights when all you really wanted was to turn off the fan, and we could all use fewer annoyances in our lives.

Promising review: "This is the definition of 'product you didn't know you needed because you didn't know it existed.' I was FOREVER pulling the wrong chain on our bedroom ceiling fan. (Want the light off? Oh the fan's on high. Need to change the fan speed? you're in the dark.) They're much better quality than I expected. They're actually quite heavy-duty pull chains, and they add a bit of fun to the decor." —LHD

Get them from Amazon for $8.98 (available in three finishes).

    3. A dip and sauce holder that clips to your car vents because you deserve to enjoy your fries exactly the way you like them, even if you're the one stuck driving.

    3DPrintedByBrian / Etsy

Get it from 3DPrintedByBrian on Etsy for $5.10+.

    4. A dishwasher magnet so you don't open your kitchen cabinets at dinner only to realize your house mates/kids/spouse put the dirty but meticulously rinsed–plates away, thinking they were fresh and clean. (Oh, and it helps you avoid the impending argument after you make your discovery, too.)

Promising review: "I don't know why it took me so long to buy this thing, but I'm glad that I finally did. Yes, to some it might be silly, but there are times when I forget or can't tell whether my dishes and glassware are clean. This $3 magnetic sign saves me from washing the 'dirty' dishes another time." —Colmac

Get it from Amazon for $3.49.

    5. The Five-Minute Journal, which uses ~science~ to encourage and help you develop a positive perspective on everyday life, one quick entry at a time.

    Julia Reinstein / Instagram: @juliareinstein

Basically, it takes a few questions that psychology knows help people out, and has you run through those each and every day, complete with an inspirational quote. Every morning, you'll jot down three things you're grateful for, three things that will "make today great", and a ~positive affirmation~. At night, you'll write three amazing things from the day, plus two things that would have made the day better. It may not be a true replacement for therapy, but it's a great tool.

Here's an excerpt from what Julia Reinstein, a reporter for BuzzFeed News, had to say in her review: "What’s really cool about The Five Minute Journal is the positivity and structure it’s added to my everyday routine. I write in it every morning, right after I shut off my alarm, and before I do anything else. I try to make my evening entry the last thing I do before falling asleep. Creating this twice-daily space to reflect on the good things in my life has been revolutionary in how I feel. The journal has also helped me notice patterns in my life that could be areas for improvement — don’t ask me how many days in a row “return your Zappos order” has been under “what could’ve made today better.” But whatever. I’m a work in progress."

Get it from Paper Source for $24.95 (it's sold out on Amazon at the time we're publishing this post).

    6. A set of two seat gap fillers for when you're tired of accidentally dropping your phone down in the crack of no return for the two thousandth–time in the past year.

The neoprene gap fillers fit over each seat belt, so when you scoot your seat forward or back they simply follow along. Installation takes all of 15 seconds, and you can easily wipe or rinse them clean if they get dirty.

Promising review: "I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. I thought it was more of a joke when my husband got this for me for Christmas. Little did I realize it would be one of my most favorite gadgets ever! I don't know if I realized just how many things went missing in my seat gap. It has really saved a lot of things from disappearing into that black hole. It was easy enough to fit into my car and it's soft! It's just like an extension of my seat, except it fits every curve of my seat! There really isn't another product that compares to this." —Tessa Forbes

Get them from Amazon for $19.99.

    7. A multipurpose tool that can help you put on bracelets and necklaces, zip up your dresses, and button your cuffs without having to tap into your inner contortionist.

Promising review: "This bracelet tool is awesome! I bought one for myself and my mother. They work great for both of us. We both had trouble fumbling with our bracelets to put them on and off!!! Now it takes all of about five seconds. We both love them and use them all the time. Now I can wear my charm bracelet anytime I want. This tool is a great size and fits in your purse, too. Would highly recommend." —westtexaskat

Get one from Amazon for $5.69.

    8. A set of five multipurpose, self-sealing, airtight silicone lids — you'll find yourself reaching for them constantly, because you can use 'em as a splatter-preventing microwave cover, a pot lid (in the oven or on the stove!), or as an alternative to plastic wrap before you refrigerate or even freeze leftovers (they fit on pretty much any bowl size you need).

I have a similar product that's remarkably less beautiful in a large and medium size, and I'm not kidding when I say mine hardly spend any time in the cabinet because I'm always using them for something or another. These fit any dish or pot with a smooth rim, are heat safe up to 550°F, are BPA and BPS–free, dishwasher safe, and stain resistant. All you do to seal 'em is set them on your dish, and gently pull on the knob to make sure you have that airtight suction. Oh, and the middle knobs fit inside each other so they can sit in a super thin stack in your drawer.

Promising review: "Found the perfect solution to spattering grease! I can’t be the only person in the world who has heated up something in microwave only to be called away while the food gets cold. Enter one of these lids! Helps retain heat of cooked food until you can get to it. Did my own test of seal by pouring four cups of water in a spouted plastic bowl. Covered it, picked up by knob and carried it across the kitchen (8 feet) without a worry!" —Judith Jenna

Get the set of five from Food52 for $40.

    9. An oversized but lightweight silky-soft sleep mask that will block out the light and stay on your face all night, because maybe nothing noticeably improves your life more than getting better sleep.

It has two adjustable straps to keep it on your face even when you toss and turn (one goes above your ears, the other goes below), plus a little nose flap to block out any light from there, too.

Promising review: "Normally I don't write reviews, but I felt I had to say that this is the most comfortable eyemask I have ever worn. It's extremely soft to the touch. It feels so good on the face and completely blocks out any light. I don't even notice the two adjustable head straps because they are also so comfortable. I normally work 12 hour night shifts so I'm sleeping through the day. I always had issues with constantly waking up even with black out curtains because the sunlight was still getting around them, but since I've started wearing the mask, I have had no disrupted sleep, and I am dead to the world during the day with this on." —Chibimuffin

Get it on Amazon for $10.99.

    10. And a white noise machine with non-looping audio that can completely drown out any sounds that might disturb your slumber, so you can sleep just like you would snuggled up in the penthouse suite of a fancy hotel that had sound-proof windows.

It has ten fan sound options and ten ambient noise options, a precise volume control, and a timer; and is small enough you can easily pack it for travel. Some reviewers even use it in their open office space.

Promising review: "This is so freaking great. I've been using white noise machines for years and years but ended up finding this through BuzzFeed. My old machine had looping audio and I hated it, so the fact that this is non-looping is everything. It's also very sleek and modern. I live in downtown Boston with construction sites literally boxing me in my building with noise nearly 24/7 between that and cops/fire trucks. This knocks out the noise and allows me to sleep or nap at any time of day without hearing anything." —ML

Get it on Amazon for $49.95 (available in two colors).

    11. An iced tea tumbler so you can have a refreshingly cold on the go–cup of your favorite pick-me up with precisely the amount of strength and sweetness you prefer.

You ad hot water to the "outer chamber" and ice to the "inner chamber", so once your tea's done brewing you can simply slide the icy part inside to cool everything down. It works with both loose and bagged teas; with loose tea, it filters the leaves out so they're trapped at the bottom. And yeah, it's dishwasher safe!

Promising review: "It works great cold tea in minutes. Bag or loose cleans easily. Great purchase." —Debbie

Get it from BuzzFeed's Goodful Line, exclusively at Macy's for $28.99 (available in two colors).

    12. A completely clear umbrella that acts like a forcefield around your head and shoulders so you can cross the parking lot to get to work and arrive nice and dry, as if you somehow managed to teleport (well, except for maybe your shoes).

Promising review: "This umbrella has saved me too many times to count. I go to college on a campus that is prone to flooding and storms. This thing protects me from all rain and wind; when paired with my rain boots, nothing can stop me. There was a powdery substance on it when it arrived, but it wiped off fine with a towel. After the year it shows no signs of breaking." —Destiny D

Get it on Amazon for $26 (also available with birds or rainbow dots).

    13. A set of six cable clips to keep your charger easily accessible, detangle your computer cords, and even (whoa) hold everybody's toothbrushes.

Promising review: "It was always a pain to reach down the side of my bed to reach my chargers, not to mention the wad of cables I’d have to sift through just to charge my phone. I finally searched for a solution and came across these. They’re great! They’re really easy to stick on and they stay in place. I haven’t had an issue of them falling off. Whenever I need to charge a device they’re right next to me, easy to reach and untangled. I definitely recommend!" —Nelis Perez

Get them on Amazon for $5.98.

    14. A bug bite suction tool that lets you gently extract at least some of the pesky venom that makes the bite itch, so even if the bite doesn't go away completely, you don't feel such an urge to scratch.

    Rebecca O'Connell / BuzzFeed

Bek, an editor here at BuzzFeed, owns one of these and notes that while it doesn't completely get rid of your bites, it does put a halt to the itching. It works with mosquitoes, bees, wasps, biting flies, no-see-ums, chiggers, and sea lice! Note that some reviewers say the suction can be really strong, so try to use it gently; and the company doesn't recommend using it on your neck or face, because it can cause bruising there. (Read the full directions before using it!)

Promising review: "I am a magnet for bites of all kinds and carry topical and medicines with me at all times — so I figured this would be a good product to see if it really works. I woke up with a bug bite on my arm so I used this little tool (three times per the instructions) — immediately after using, it stopped itching! And less than 24 hours later the bump/bite was gone! There is a very faint red mark from using the thing, but a small price to pay IMO. Bottom line: it’s awesome. I’m carrying it with me everywhere!" —Rebecca

Get them on Amazon: a pack of two for $18.95 or a pack of three for $24.95.

    15. A rapid egg cooker because it takes about the same amount of effort as pouring a standard bowl of cereal, but (nothing against cereal! It's delicious!) instead you get EGGS. It makes tasty omelettes plus hard-boiled, poached, and scrambled eggs in a jiffy with minimal dishes.

And of course all the non-electric parts are top-rack dishwasher-safe, which means cleanup's just as low-effort as cooking. It cooks up to 12 eggs at a time, so you're covered whether you want to make just two for yourself, or need to make a bunch of deviled eggs for a party!

Promising review: "This little 'gadget' cooks my eggs perfectly, whether I boil, poach or make an omelet, every time. The shells peel right off the boiled eggs without a hitch. I use my egg cooker for breakfast about every other day alone, not counting the other meals each day. The only way to make it easier to use is have some one to do it for you. And clean up is a snap! I have recommended it to a lot of my friends and family. Great investment!" —Diana

Get it on Amazon for $26.68+ (available in four colors).

    16. A set of four silicone mini-tools, so you can efficiently scrape the last of your peanut butter onto your toast before you toss the jar in the recycling. Waste not!

Promising review: "Great set of mini tools. I very much liked the variety, the colors are cute and just as pictured. I find them very useful for scraping out mixing cups and get the last bits out of small containers. I find they come in very handy. My only negative was that the handles could have been a bit smoother, they are wood." —Chicago Mom

Get the set from BuzzFeed's Goodful line, exclusively at Macy's for $21.

    17. The Fasta Pasta, aka a microwave cooker that makes preparing a batch of your favorite noodles so fast and easy, you don't even have to wait for the water to boil.

    Fasta Pasta

All you do is measure your servings of spaghetti using the holes in the lid, add it to the cooker with some water, and microwave it for 12–20 minutes (depending on how much pasta you're cooking). And yes, it's dishwasher safe.

Promising review: "I love to make pasta, but hate boiling a giant pot of water on the stove just to cook it. Now, I prepare it all the time; this makes it so fast and easy! It is great for making pasta salad in the summer, when I don't want to have to turn on the stove. I love this so much, I actually purchased one for my stepdaughter and my best friend as well. Well-made and dishwasher-safe, I have used mine for well over a year and it is still in perfect condition. Never want to be without this again!" —SpikeysMommy

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    18. A wood polish and conditioner — you simply rub it on those water stains that mysteriously appeared on your new kitchen table to watch them vanish, so you don't have to notice them (and experience a pang of regret) once a day.

It works on both finished and natural woods, including wood floors.

Promising review: "Our paneling and cabinets were looking rough. We have two dogs that jumped up and scratched places, we also had an area that was damaged by water spots where our dog bowls were, and several other areas that were just worn from heavy traffic. This stuff was like a magic eraser for water spots, scratches, scuffs, and any other blemish. We simply wiped the product on with a paper towel and let is sit for 20 minutes before wiping it off with a clean towel. Everything looks brand new. I'm buying a couple more so we can finish our cabinets and wood paneling. We're so glad we found this product." —Kris

Get a bottle on Amazon for $8.48.

FYI, if you're facing much damage that's a little worse than that, you might want to try their other (also well-reviewed!) product, called Restore-A-Finish, first; it does more to hide minor scratches, white heat rings, deep water marks, and stuff like that. The two products are actually made to be used together! Get that on Amazon for $7.99.

    19. A pack of LED dimming sheets because your computer charger, internet router, and other electronics have exactly zero business keeping you awake (or even just annoying you) with their overly bright lights.

These dim 50–80% of the light, so the rest of the day you still know that everything's working the way it's supposed to! Although if you prefer, you can double 'em to block even more light, or go for the ~blackout edition~. They're completely removable and leave no residue behind.

Promising review: "These are great. I have a hard time sleeping with lights on in my room and so many devices recently have incredibly bright LEDs. I did notice that some lights require more than one sticker to dim them to my desired level but this is really an advantage as you could adjust the level of brightness by the number of stickers you place over it." —Matthew M Phelps

Get a sheet of over 100 stickers in different shapes and sizes on Amazon for $4.29. If you have a big clock face you'd like to dim, also check out a similar product that you cut to size, $8.29 for two six by three inch–sheets.

    20. A little cupholder trashcan so you can continue using that spot to dump straw wrappers, gum papers, and reciepts, but don't have like, actually look at them all the time. And you'll be able to toss them out in one quick motion, no need to gather them up in your hands.

Promising review: "It’s ridiculous how much I love these! The push part is on a spring so it stays closed when you aren’t pushing it, and of course it perfectly fits in the cup holder of our vehicles. Pro tip: a quart sized Ziploc is the perfect size to add as a liner and fold over the top to keep the inside clean!" —Chaos Coordinator

Get it on Amazon for $7.98.

    21. A handheld knife sharpener because slicing and dicing is much easier, faster, and (most importantly!) safer if your knife is actually sharp, and this will do the job in just a few swipes.

Promising review: "I use this on my high-end German knife and it performs as well as any expensive sharpener. If your 'good' knife requires some fancy sharpener, perhaps the knife is the problem. I use this on three large kitchen knives as well as paring knives, and it keeps them all in tip-top shape. I do a lot of chopping, so having every knife tomato-ready is great. Find a couple of good videos before you start — the instructions are ok, but don't actual demonstrate all the features!" —Pete

Get it on Amazon for $5.99 (available in three colors).

Elizabeth, one of our editors, owns one of these and loves it — you can read her full knife sharpener review for more!

    22. A three-in-one avocado tool that will definitely be helpful if you eat at least one avocado a week — you'll be able to cut it open, pit it, then slice each half into seven even pieces before you can say "toast".

Promising review: "It's fun to use. Cuts the avocado close to the skin, so you're not missing any leftover avocado on the skin. Smack the pit with the center bit and BOOM pit removed. The knife part is sharp enough to cut the skin of the avocado, but not really sharp enough to cut your skin without some effort (please don't test this, this is not a dull edged thing). Worth the money if you enjoy avocados on a frequent basis, or even if you only enjoy them monthly, or if you just like kitchen gadgets. Good luck with your avocado-ing!" —Amazon Customer

Get it on Amazon for $9.99.

    23. A pack of BedBands so you don't roll over in the middle of the night only to discover that the corner of your fitted sheet has, yet again slipped off the mattress. Instead, your sheet will stay securely tucked no matter how many times you flip-flop around.

Promising review: "There is a brief learning curve to understand how to install them — you need the ends that attach to the sheets to be spread apart for the best attachment — then you are set. I have been using them about a month now and they work perfectly. I bought two sets: one for my mattress pad that prevents a topper from moving around perfectly and one for my sheets. If you are wavering on the size just buy the XL because you can adjust them down to fit any size mattress but the regular size may not be able to adjust up enough for large mattresses. My sheets have not come off once and stay as tight as the day I attach the Bed Bands. This is a genius product that is worth every penny." —Russ

Get a pack of four on Amazon for $12.99.

    24. Glossier's Invisible Shield — it's a water-based serum sunscreen that smoothly glides onto your skin for seamless and translucent sun protection, because in order to actually wear a sunscreen every day (which is v. important!) you have to *like* how it feels on your skin.

Promising review: "I have never really used many SPF products in the past, because I thought they would clog my pores. This product does not, and leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth. This is great for me especially because my skin can burn up easily. If you are not looking for a heavy, thick sunscreen, this is the perfect. Also smells amazing!" —Gigi

Get it from Glossier for $25.

    25. An ice cream cozy so you can eat as much of your favorite pint as you want without your fingers getting cold OR your ice cream melting too quickly.

    kanudles / Etsy

Get one from Kanudles on Etsy: "Spoon Me" for $10.99 or "Cold Digger" for $9.99 (both available in either purple or blue).

    26. A temperature regulating–comforter that will keep you perfectly comfortable pretty much the entire year, so you can stop waking up in the middle of the night either a) needing to completely kick all your covers off to cool down or b) shivering so much you go put on your deep winter PJs even though it's only 60 degrees outside.

Promising review: "We've been using this comforter for two weeks in the Chicagoland area at the end of summer/beginning of fall with nightly temperatures varying vastly from the 30’s-70’s. I was initially skeptical because of the light weight of this comforter, but pleasantly surprised at its ability to keep us perfectly warm on cold nights and cool on warmer nights. It’s not thick, but still fills our duvet cover nicely and stays in place with the corner fabric loops. I would prefer a little more weight, but am amazed at the warmth from this light comforter." —CLSedona

Get it from BuzzFeed's Goodful line, exclusively at Macy's for $99.97 (available only in Full/Queen).

    27. A silicone scalp massager and shampoo brush — besides gently deep cleaning and exfoliating your skin with way less effort than it would take using just your fingers, it also just feels really damn good., Amazon

One reviewer also mentions that it's awesome for removing excess hair dye from their scalp with very little effort.

Promising review: "I cannot explain how good this feels when you're using it! It relaxes you and for sure is better than just using your fingertips to shampoo your hair. It actually goes down to the roots and makes sure that it gets into all the spots it can to clean your hair. My hair has never felt smoother since I started using this product." —Romie Patel

Get it on Amazon for $6.98.

    28. A drain millipede covered with over 4000 micro-hooks to grab every last bit of the hair and gunk slowing down your sink and tub drains, so they actually flow freely again.

You can technically clean and reuse it, but many reviewers just toss it because of the yuck-factor.

Promising review: "Our sink wouldn’t work and I’d tried everything, baking soda and boiling water, baking soda and vinegar, plunging, Liquid Plumber! I was getting ready to call a real life plumber when I saw this. Took four times to clear the clog and was gross as hell, but our sink had been perfect since!! It’s disgusting but 100% worth it, since it saved me a $100 with a plumber!! Gag-worthy purchase and I’d buy it again a million times!!" —Jennifer Davis

Get it on Amazon for $5.28.

    29. A non-slip rubber jar opener so you can effortlessly open the stubbornest of lids with just a simple twist.

Promising review: "These work when nothing else does. I stole one from my mom 20 years ago when I moved out. I have used it numerous times for all these years, and it just gets better as it gets older. It will open anything, and makes my grip strong. I always wanted another one to keep on my RV. Then I found these — same product! Every home should have at least one." —Dianne

Get one on Amazon for $3.19.

    30. A wine-saver that will keep all your opened bottles fresh for an extra day or two — and up to a full week — so you get to enjoy every last drop of every single bottle you buy.

It literally creates a vacuum seal: you wet the rubber cork, stick it in, then use the pump to suck out all the air remaining in the bottle. When it makes a *click* sound, you know you're done! I've owned one of these for eight years now, and my parents have had one they've used regularly since the early nineties. Just think of how many glasses of wine just those two have saved!

Promising review: "So, you know how you open a bottle of wine for a glass and then the bottle sits there until it turns undrinkable? neither. Still, there are times when I open a bottle and I know it's going to be several days before I finish it. This helps. A lot! It's easy to use, it's small enough to fit into my silverware drawer, and it really does draw all the extra air out of the bottle so your vino doesn't get all ickish before you finish it." —V. Daniels

Get a starter set on Amazon (which includes the pump plus one stopper) on Amazon for $13.49 (available in two colors).

    31. A few pairs of hiker-favorite merino wool socks that stay in place no matter what your day brings, wick moisture away from your skin, resist odor, and best of all, last for miles and miles without any holes. Every lazy day spent wandering sock-footed around your home (or trekking through the mountains in boots) just got a little better.

    Darn Tough Socks / @darntoughvermont /

Oh, and the company has an unconditional lifetime guarantee, so if / when they do wear through, you can get a new pair.

Promising review: "I originally purchased one pair of these socks in Alaska for hiking. Liked them so much that I bought a second pair the following year. I lived in those socks for three years before they wore out. Bought replacements and realized they had a lifetime guarantee. Returned the two worn out pairs and received replacements. Got a couple of pair for my husband and he loves them. I also purchased the light weight ankle socks for myself and my daughters for summer biking and hiking. Not so expensive when you can keep returning them for replacements." —Sylvia

Get them on Amazon for $20.79+ (most pairs around $22; available in small–large sizes and in nine colors/patterns).

    32. A hair serum infused with argan oil, vitamin E, and aloe vera because those essential ingredients make it easy for even frizz-prone hair to hold its own against humidity's demands.

Promising review: "I found this product through a BuzzFeed article for those with frizzy hair and THIS PRODUCT DID NOT DISAPPOINT PEOPLE! I put this serum through the ringer; I got this to stand up to Bay Area fog AND the nasty, humid heat wave we got a couple weeks ago. No frizz, no extra curls. Nothing! On top of that, it made my hair super glossy. I'm very impressed. Heads up though, a little goes a long way. One pump is enough to cover my hair and I have medium length hair. Also, it can make your hair look oily if you use too much. I do have oily hair so working on my ends first then working to my roots works for me." —Amazon Customer

Get it on Amazon for $11.99.

You, after trying even one of these products:
