Because the little things matter.
It has two adjustable straps to keep it on your face even when you toss and turn (one goes above your ears, the other goes below), plus a little nose flap to block out any light from there, too.
Promising review: "Normally I don't write reviews, but I felt I had to say that this is the most comfortable eyemask I have ever worn. It's extremely soft to the touch. It feels so good on the face and completely blocks out any light. I don't even notice the two adjustable head straps because they are also so comfortable. I normally work 12 hour night shifts so I'm sleeping through the day. I always had issues with constantly waking up even with black out curtains because the sunlight was still getting around them, but since I've started wearing the mask, I have had no disrupted sleep, and I am dead to the world during the day with this on." —Chibimuffin

It has ten fan sound options and ten ambient noise options, a precise volume control, and a timer; and is small enough you can easily pack it for travel. Some reviewers even use it in their open office space.
Promising review: "This is so freaking great. I've been using white noise machines for years and years but ended up finding this through BuzzFeed. My old machine had looping audio and I hated it, so the fact that this is non-looping is everything. It's also very sleek and modern. I live in downtown Boston with construction sites literally boxing me in my building with noise nearly 24/7 between that and cops/fire trucks. This knocks out the noise and allows me to sleep or nap at any time of day without hearing anything." —ML

You ad hot water to the "outer chamber" and ice to the "inner chamber", so once your tea's done brewing you can simply slide the icy part inside to cool everything down. It works with both loose and bagged teas; with loose tea, it filters the leaves out so they're trapped at the bottom. And yeah, it's dishwasher safe!
Promising review: "It works great cold tea in minutes. Bag or loose cleans easily. Great purchase." —Debbie

Promising review: "This umbrella has saved me too many times to count. I go to college on a campus that is prone to flooding and storms. This thing protects me from all rain and wind; when paired with my rain boots, nothing can stop me. There was a powdery substance on it when it arrived, but it wiped off fine with a towel. After the year it shows no signs of breaking." —Destiny D

Promising review: "It was always a pain to reach down the side of my bed to reach my chargers, not to mention the wad of cables I’d have to sift through just to charge my phone. I finally searched for a solution and came across these. They’re great! They’re really easy to stick on and they stay in place. I haven’t had an issue of them falling off. Whenever I need to charge a device they’re right next to me, easy to reach and untangled. I definitely recommend!" —Nelis Perez

Bek, an editor here at BuzzFeed, owns one of these and notes that while it doesn't completely get rid of your bites, it does put a halt to the itching. It works with mosquitoes, bees, wasps, biting flies, no-see-ums, chiggers, and sea lice! Note that some reviewers say the suction can be really strong, so try to use it gently; and the company doesn't recommend using it on your neck or face, because it can cause bruising there. (Read the full directions before using it!)
Promising review: "I am a magnet for bites of all kinds and carry topical and medicines with me at all times — so I figured this would be a good product to see if it really works. I woke up with a bug bite on my arm so I used this little tool (three times per the instructions) — immediately after using, it stopped itching! And less than 24 hours later the bump/bite was gone! There is a very faint red mark from using the thing, but a small price to pay IMO. Bottom line: it’s awesome. I’m carrying it with me everywhere!" —Rebecca

And of course all the non-electric parts are top-rack dishwasher-safe, which means cleanup's just as low-effort as cooking. It cooks up to 12 eggs at a time, so you're covered whether you want to make just two for yourself, or need to make a bunch of deviled eggs for a party!
Promising review: "This little 'gadget' cooks my eggs perfectly, whether I boil, poach or make an omelet, every time. The shells peel right off the boiled eggs without a hitch. I use my egg cooker for breakfast about every other day alone, not counting the other meals each day. The only way to make it easier to use is have some one to do it for you. And clean up is a snap! I have recommended it to a lot of my friends and family. Great investment!" —Diana

Promising review: "Great set of mini tools. I very much liked the variety, the colors are cute and just as pictured. I find them very useful for scraping out mixing cups and get the last bits out of small containers. I find they come in very handy. My only negative was that the handles could have been a bit smoother, they are wood." —Chicago Mom

All you do is measure your servings of spaghetti using the holes in the lid, add it to the cooker with some water, and microwave it for 12–20 minutes (depending on how much pasta you're cooking). And yes, it's dishwasher safe.
Promising review: "I love to make pasta, but hate boiling a giant pot of water on the stove just to cook it. Now, I prepare it all the time; this makes it so fast and easy! It is great for making pasta salad in the summer, when I don't want to have to turn on the stove. I love this so much, I actually purchased one for my stepdaughter and my best friend as well. Well-made and dishwasher-safe, I have used mine for well over a year and it is still in perfect condition. Never want to be without this again!" —SpikeysMommy

It works on both finished and natural woods, including wood floors.
Promising review: "Our paneling and cabinets were looking rough. We have two dogs that jumped up and scratched places, we also had an area that was damaged by water spots where our dog bowls were, and several other areas that were just worn from heavy traffic. This stuff was like a magic eraser for water spots, scratches, scuffs, and any other blemish. We simply wiped the product on with a paper towel and let is sit for 20 minutes before wiping it off with a clean towel. Everything looks brand new. I'm buying a couple more so we can finish our cabinets and wood paneling. We're so glad we found this product." —Kris

FYI, if you're facing much damage that's a little worse than that, you might want to try their other (also well-reviewed!) product, called Restore-A-Finish, first; it does more to hide minor scratches, white heat rings, deep water marks, and stuff like that. The two products are actually made to be used together! Get that on Amazon for $7.99.
These dim 50–80% of the light, so the rest of the day you still know that everything's working the way it's supposed to! Although if you prefer, you can double 'em to block even more light, or go for the ~blackout edition~. They're completely removable and leave no residue behind.
Promising review: "These are great. I have a hard time sleeping with lights on in my room and so many devices recently have incredibly bright LEDs. I did notice that some lights require more than one sticker to dim them to my desired level but this is really an advantage as you could adjust the level of brightness by the number of stickers you place over it." —Matthew M Phelps

Promising review: "It’s ridiculous how much I love these! The push part is on a spring so it stays closed when you aren’t pushing it, and of course it perfectly fits in the cup holder of our vehicles. Pro tip: a quart sized Ziploc is the perfect size to add as a liner and fold over the top to keep the inside clean!" —Chaos Coordinator

Promising review: "I use this on my high-end German knife and it performs as well as any expensive sharpener. If your 'good' knife requires some fancy sharpener, perhaps the knife is the problem. I use this on three large kitchen knives as well as paring knives, and it keeps them all in tip-top shape. I do a lot of chopping, so having every knife tomato-ready is great. Find a couple of good videos before you start — the instructions are ok, but don't actual demonstrate all the features!" —Pete

Promising review: "It's fun to use. Cuts the avocado close to the skin, so you're not missing any leftover avocado on the skin. Smack the pit with the center bit and BOOM pit removed. The knife part is sharp enough to cut the skin of the avocado, but not really sharp enough to cut your skin without some effort (please don't test this, this is not a dull edged thing). Worth the money if you enjoy avocados on a frequent basis, or even if you only enjoy them monthly, or if you just like kitchen gadgets. Good luck with your avocado-ing!" —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "There is a brief learning curve to understand how to install them — you need the ends that attach to the sheets to be spread apart for the best attachment — then you are set. I have been using them about a month now and they work perfectly. I bought two sets: one for my mattress pad that prevents a topper from moving around perfectly and one for my sheets. If you are wavering on the size just buy the XL because you can adjust them down to fit any size mattress but the regular size may not be able to adjust up enough for large mattresses. My sheets have not come off once and stay as tight as the day I attach the Bed Bands. This is a genius product that is worth every penny." —Russ

Promising review: "I have never really used many SPF products in the past, because I thought they would clog my pores. This product does not, and leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth. This is great for me especially because my skin can burn up easily. If you are not looking for a heavy, thick sunscreen, this is the perfect. Also smells amazing!" —Gigi

Promising review: "We've been using this comforter for two weeks in the Chicagoland area at the end of summer/beginning of fall with nightly temperatures varying vastly from the 30’s-70’s. I was initially skeptical because of the light weight of this comforter, but pleasantly surprised at its ability to keep us perfectly warm on cold nights and cool on warmer nights. It’s not thick, but still fills our duvet cover nicely and stays in place with the corner fabric loops. I would prefer a little more weight, but am amazed at the warmth from this light comforter." —CLSedona

One reviewer also mentions that it's awesome for removing excess hair dye from their scalp with very little effort.
Promising review: "I cannot explain how good this feels when you're using it! It relaxes you and for sure is better than just using your fingertips to shampoo your hair. It actually goes down to the roots and makes sure that it gets into all the spots it can to clean your hair. My hair has never felt smoother since I started using this product." —Romie Patel

Promising review: "Our sink wouldn’t work and I’d tried everything, baking soda and boiling water, baking soda and vinegar, plunging, Liquid Plumber! I was getting ready to call a real life plumber when I saw this. Took four times to clear the clog and was gross as hell, but our sink had been perfect since!! It’s disgusting but 100% worth it, since it saved me a $100 with a plumber!! Gag-worthy purchase and I’d buy it again a million times!!" —Jennifer Davis

Promising review: "These work when nothing else does. I stole one from my mom 20 years ago when I moved out. I have used it numerous times for all these years, and it just gets better as it gets older. It will open anything, and makes my grip strong. I always wanted another one to keep on my RV. Then I found these — same product! Every home should have at least one." —Dianne

It literally creates a vacuum seal: you wet the rubber cork, stick it in, then use the pump to suck out all the air remaining in the bottle. When it makes a *click* sound, you know you're done! I've owned one of these for eight years now, and my parents have had one they've used regularly since the early nineties. Just think of how many glasses of wine just those two have saved!
Promising review: "So, you know how you open a bottle of wine for a glass and then the bottle sits there until it turns undrinkable? LOL...me neither. Still, there are times when I open a bottle and I know it's going to be several days before I finish it. This helps. A lot! It's easy to use, it's small enough to fit into my silverware drawer, and it really does draw all the extra air out of the bottle so your vino doesn't get all ickish before you finish it." —V. Oh, and the company has an unconditional lifetime guarantee, so if / when they do wear through, you can get a new pair.
Promising review: "I originally purchased one pair of these socks in Alaska for hiking. Liked them so much that I bought a second pair the following year. I lived in those socks for three years before they wore out. Bought replacements and realized they had a lifetime guarantee. Returned the two worn out pairs and received replacements. Got a couple of pair for my husband and he loves them. I also purchased the light weight ankle socks for myself and my daughters for summer biking and hiking. Not so expensive when you can keep returning them for replacements." —Sylvia

Promising review: "I found this product through a BuzzFeed article for those with frizzy hair and THIS PRODUCT DID NOT DISAPPOINT PEOPLE! I put this serum through the ringer; I got this to stand up to Bay Area fog AND the nasty, humid heat wave we got a couple weeks ago. No frizz, no extra curls. Nothing! On top of that, it made my hair super glossy. I'm very impressed. Heads up though, a little goes a long way. One pump is enough to cover my hair and I have medium length hair. Also, it can make your hair look oily if you use too much. I do have oily hair so working on my ends first then working to my roots works for me." —Amazon Customer
