What is this: Every year there are the *songs of summer* and then there are the *gay songs of summer.* This list is the latter because gay people have taste.

The songs were chosen by going to the last week of Pride month, so June, of the given year. Then, experts (gays), decided which songs were *the* gay song of summer.
