This is so true!! I spent way too much time upset that I wasn't living college life the way my older sister did- with a boyfriend, becoming best friends with her random roommate, etc. Once I realized it's okay to have different experiences, I was so much happier!

I recently had to get my ear irrigated after not being able to hear for three days due to a wax blockage. After that, I stopped using Q-Tips, because the momentary satisfaction of using them is not worth it. Honestly I don't even miss them!

There was a nun in my neighborhood who used to work for a dentist and she would give out toothbrushes every year! She was very friendly and it became a tradition to always get a toothbrush from her.
