Politics and Prose in DC is a wonderful bookshop, with a really inclusive feel. They host lots of authors and the booksellers are friendly and never pushy. DC doesn't have any Barnes
Maus by Art Spiegelman was my second graphic novel, and it totally persuaded me to further explore the genre. It was so well written and illustrated, and even though I was skeptical about such a serious story being told with mice representing the humans, it was perfectly done.
I made #1, which turned out really delicious. I used 1 cup of almond flour, because I love the nutty flavor it gives, and 1 1/4 of regular and it worked out well!
