In fairness he could have been playing that moment over and over in his head. That and when someone in your "family" levels harsh insults- they stick. You'll remember them for years to come, and they'll make you so friggin sad every time you think about it.

Much of the decent stuff they do is technically a net good- but their reason for doing it seems to be so people leave them alone otherwise. If public opinion turns on them too harshly they could have big problems.
