Charity. I signed up for a 10k run fundraiser, and then participated in The Canadian Cancer Society’s Sugar-Free September challenge. Being obligated to others in order to help them motivated me way more than anything else ever has.

How is having an unpaid internship a privilege? I work 20 hours a week for free and then have to struggle to pay my bills because I have no time to actually do paid work. Do you think I would pick an unpaid internship if I was allowed to do a paid one?!
McGill has those a cappella music clubs, as well as Frosh week (another name for rush week), and university-wide Halloween parties that everyone goes to.
