I'm just gonna cut to the chase, folks: To me, there is nothing more iconic than when a movie or TV character makes an entrance for the first time.
We're introduced to this character in such a raw state, and immediately get a good feel for who they are.
And when I watched Knives Out (2019) for the first time, I couldn't help but be blown away by Benoit Blanc's entrance. He gracefully and mysteriously sat by the piano while Detective Elliott questioned the Thrombey family. Blanc looked at every suspect with solemn curiosity, never missing a beat — it was powerful as heck.
Hela's entrance in Thor: Ragnarok (2017) also never ceases to amaze me. The way she first approached Loki and Thor with her wit and dark personality (not to mention the way she pulled her hair back and transformed into her true form) was nothing short of iconic.
And who could forget Maxine Shaw's entrance in Living Single (1993–98)? After all these years, it's still one of the funniest entrances a TV character has ever made. We got a first glance at Maxine (aka the Maverick), a character who refused to compromise herself and had a great sense of humor.
So I want to hear from you, dear reader! Tell us which movie or TV character made the most iconic entrance (and *why* you think so) in the comments below.
