Doing your hair can be a lot of work, but these products are here to make it easier.
Eden BodyWorks is a Black woman-owned business founded by Jasmine Lawrence in 2004.
Promising review: "This curl cream is a godsend! It truly defines my 3b–3c curls as well as the hair on the crown of my head that isn't as curly (which is everyone's struggle). It doesn't have much of a scent, which I like, and it really moisturizes your hair. Be careful with how much you use cuz it's thick and creamy." —Target customer
I've used hair towel for years, but this one is by far the best. Since I have thick, curly hair I try to avoid adding heat to it as much as possible. This allows my hair to dry naturally MUCH faster and it prevents it from dripping all over me while I'm trying to do my skincare routine or get ready. The elastic around the trim helps it stay sturdily in place, without being irritating at all. And obviously it's super cute, which is always a bonus.

Promising Review: "I'm a single dad of a 6-year-old girl and combing her hair is the hardest part of taking care of her. She gets really bad knots in her hair. This brush is the only thing that has ever worked. Thank you so much. She even likes to comb her own hair now." —Nguyen P.

Promising review: "Amazing! I've used their dry shampoo before, but this stuff leaves no residue! I love it. It's especially great because I have colored hair, and it lasts so much longer when I can get a couple of extra days between washes with this stuff! Also, it smells really fresh and takes away the oily look!" —Amazon Customer

I have a head wrap and it is so sturdy, yet super comfortable. It does an amazing job of staying in place and keeping my curly hair out of my face. They are 100% cotton and lightweight so you can wrap with ease. I love playing with the different ways to wear it. You can knot it, fold it up, tie it in a bow, etc. — there are so many fun ways to rock these!

Promising review: "The BEST detangler out there, and I have tried them all...even the expensive leave-in conditioners that say they detangle also. Bonus: your hair smells like those orange/vanilla popsicles that are so good. I have long, thick hair and I use a wide-tooth comb after the shower. I spray this on all over and have zero trouble getting through my hair! So nice!" —Alyssa V

Promising review: "I found this product through a BuzzFeed article for those with frizzy hair and THIS PRODUCT DID NOT DISAPPOINT PEOPLE! I put this serum through the ringer; I got this to stand up to Bay Area fog AND the nasty, humid heat wave we got a couple weeks ago. No frizz, no extra curls. Nothing! On top of that, it made my hair super glossy. I'm very impressed. Heads up though, a little goes a long way. One pump is enough to cover my hair and I have medium length hair. Also, it can make your hair look oily if you use too much. I do have oily hair so working on my ends first then working to my roots works for me." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "This stuff is a godsend! I used to have red hair and decided to get a blonde balayage. It took two visits to get my hair lightened to where it looked blonde and not gold, but it still had lots of gold in it. Now my hair is finally blonde and not gold! I’m so happy! Plus this stuff smells amazing and makes my hair so soft and shiny and voluminous with lots of body!" —KatEd

Promising review: "My hair used to be really soft, and then I discovered hot tools and hair dye. While my hair looks good I really missed the soft texture. This works so well. There are no instructions on the box but I washed my hair with my usual shampoo, towel dried it, worked about two quarter-sized dollops through my hair, let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinsed out. I went to bed with wet hair which usually results in my hair being kind of tangled and rough looking but I woke up and my hair was as soft and silky as it was before I started coloring it. I'm totally in love with this product, I have long fine hair but this doesn't leave it greasy or weigh it down. I'll definitely buy again." —Ellie

Clarifying shampoos can dry out your skin if you use them too often, so we recommend only using it once a week!
Promising review: "This shampoo removed months/years of product build-up in my hair that I didn't even know I had. After just one wash, my hair felt lighter, finer, more voluminous, and I needed less styling products to achieve the same results. But be careful not to use this too often as it can dry out your hair. I have long, dark fine hair and I use this about once every two weeks, or once every four to five washes." —Katherine

Promising review: "I was SO excited to use this product and it definitely lived up to the hype. I've used the BB Pret products for years, but this is particularly good for post-workout hair issues (yes, even after really sweaty workouts!). Air drying works great, but a quick blow-dry to speed up the process also works wonders." —EVRE813

Promising review: "They're worth every dollar! It's not quite like any other hair tie I've seen before. It's really thick, very expandable, and super durable. I have thick, coarse, nappy, natural, African American hair and these certainly do the job! I don't care what type of hair you have or how much of it you got because these will do the job. And they won't rip out your hair while doing it." —Gracey
Get a pack of three from Amazon for $11.29+ (available in four colors and packs of eight).
Promising review: "I’m obssesed with these! I have thick curly hair so rubber bands and the ribbon elastics always dent my hair. Even when I straighten my hair, those type of hair ties also dent my hair. With these coils, my hair is secure whether it’s straight or curly. When I remove it, my hair is easily fixed back into place. These do stretch out after you use it for a while, but it is easily fixed. If you blow dry them, the heat will cause it to shrink back to its original size and it is as good as new!" —Stephanie S.

Promising review: "I have long, fine waving hair that tends to lose volume and curl a few hours after I wash them. I need volumizing products and hairspray that holds my style and 'keeps' all day or at least longer than usual. This product gives volume and lift without falling flat and adding weight after a few hours; holds well in wind and humidity, so far it's the best hair spray I've ever used. Highly recommend." —Rose H.

Briogeo is a woman-owned business that sells cruelty-free, gluten-free, mostly vegan, and 6-free hair care products for all hair textures.
Promising review: "This conditioner is so expensive, but so worth it. I have very thick, over processed, wavy hair. This conditioner made my hair so soft and detangled after one use. I get compliments on my hair every time I use it. Also, the smell is my favorite ever maybe. IT IS SO GOOD — it smells incredible in the shower and lingers lightly in your hair for days." —LindsayA3

Promising review: "Wow. I wish I would have taken a before picture. I had severely brittle, bleached hair and terrible split ends. After using this once (kept in hair for about four hours), my hair was noticeably softer, less straw-like at the tips, and my split ends have disappeared. It seems like the Olaplex bonded them together. I heard that every time you use this, your hair just keeps getting better and healthier, and I'm looking forward to it. I plan to use once a week." —ecyphers
