    1. Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Coating Hair Protein Treatment is a miracle-working hair treatment that spins damaged, hay-like hair into golden locks ready for a Pantene commercial. The health! The body! The silkiness!

    Bek O' Connell

I have a very thin, fine hair, so finding ways to make it look presentable can be a challenge. Since I only have like, 100 hairs on my head, I have to take very good care of them. As a result, I'm kind of a hair mask hoarder — opening my bathroom cabinet leads to an avalanche of half-used hair products. But despite all my fancy shampoos, conditioners, masks, leave-in conditioners, and oils, my hair continued to be hay-like and frizzy. When I bought Elizavecca's CER-100 Collagen Coating Hair Protein Treatment for under $10, I was not expecting much. But seriously, after just two uses, I'm ready to call this the miracle product I've been searching for.

This repairing hair treatment works just like a hair mask. You wash your hair, and then apply the treatment to your hair and let sit for 5–15 minutes. It's in a little squeeze bottle, which is a huge plus because I hate having to scoop product out of a jar while I'm in the shower. The scent is nice without being overwhelming. After rinsing this out, I can feel a noticeable difference right away. My hair, once unruly and dry, now feels like silk. I can't stop touching it; it feels like I stole someone else's hair. My fuzzy puff of hair has relaxed into loose waves and each strand just feels considerably healthier. I can't believe the results after just two uses. I'm ready to start a very active Elizavecca fan club if anyone else is looking to join. —Bek O' Connell

    2. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 makes sun protection a total snap and no-brainer because its clear, jelly-like texture doesn't leave a white cast and never, ever makes skin look ashy — and the fact that it works wonderfully as a semi-mattifying primer underneath makeup seals the deal.

    Jillian Karande

My mom has been scolding me about wearing sunscreen for the longest time. Every summer growing up, she'd lather me in SPF 100 — while I complained loudly — before she’d let me go out to play with friends. I remember feeling so self-conscious of the way my skin looked slightly gray and having to field questions from my non-POC friends about whether or not I still had to wear sunscreen even though I was already brown (...yes!). Now that I'm older and my mom isn't always around to make sure I'm always wearing sun protection, I struggled for a while to fit sunscreen into my skincare regimen: one moisturizer with sunscreen I tried totally broke me out, and just about every other one made me ashy. I knew SPF was important but I just couldn’t find a formula that worked for me.

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen has been a complete game-changer. The invisible formula doesn’t contain any zinc oxide or titanium dioxide — meaning I never have to worry about that weird, whitish cast that I usually associate with sunscreen. Its jelly-like texture absorbs quickly without feeling tacky and bonus points: this sunscreen works perfectly as a semi-mattifying primer under makeup. I'm mostly just happy I've finally figured out how to integrate sun protection into my routine in a way that actually works with my skin. See, mom? I do listen to you! —Jillian Karande

Get it from Sephora for $32.

[Editor's note: The red algae in the formula also claims to protect skin against the harmful effects of Blue Light, the light emitted from our phones and computers. Interesting!]

    3. Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Super Waterproof Mascara in 01 Super Black gives itty-bitty lashes major fiber-building length that actually grabs onto each hard-to-reach lash (hello, curved wand!), is long-wearing, smudge-proof, lightweight, and actually holds a dang curl all day.

    Sufei Zhao

My lashes are straight, short, and barely there. I swear I've tried every cult favorite mascara out there. Most of them have such a heavy formula that would weigh down my lashes. Others would clump and smudge on my lower eyelids. For the longest time, I had given up hope on mascara, opting to layer on thick eyeliner instead. Thank goodness I found Heroine Make mascara. My new mantra is 👏you 👏can 👏not 👏skip 👏mascara!

This mascara checks all the boxes. It's waterproof, so no smudges. (Don't worry, as long as you use an oil-based makeup remover, it'll come off easily.) The curved wand makes it easy to apply product to the baby lashes on the corners of my eyes. And most importantly, my favorite aspect of this mascara is that it lengthens — it adds fibers to my short lashes, but the fibers are so lightweight that it also holds the curls. On casual days, I apply one coat, but you can definitely apply two coats for even more length. —Sufei Zhao

Get it from Walmart for $12.97 or Amazon for $14.14.

    4. Glossier Balm Dot Com keeps chapped lips 👏 in 👏 check 👏 without feeling heavy or greasy, and shades like Rose add a sheer flush of color that's perfect for any occasion.

    Kemi Ajisekola, Glossier

If there's one thing I know, it's lip balm. I have chronically chapped lips and can't stand the feeling of dry skin so my lips are pretty much greased down 24/7. I tried everything from the $2 lip balm to the $20 before I found her. Enter my savior, Glossier Balm Dot Com. It comes in a ton of shades/flavors but I'm a Rose girl myself.

This lip balm somehow manages to avoid the crucial pit falls of so many lip balms I've loved before. It's sticky enough to stay in place without making your mouth feel like you've applied adhesive. It's not greasy or overly shiny. The rose shade gives your lips a barely there flush of pink that's so natural, people will think you were just blessed by the gods. With a few extra layers, it's perfect to go from the office to the bar (to forget you were just at the office). It's a real kiss from a rose, if you'll pardon the pun. So if you're a lip balm fanatic like me, what are you waiting for? Dusty lips, be gone! —Kemi Ajisekola

Get it from Glossier for $12 (available in six shades/scents).

    5. A Bobbi Boss wig not only perfectly channels Kim K's sleek, angled bob lewk, but lets you switch up your 'do super easily without the commitment (or price tag!) of a salon visit.

    Brittaney Trent

This is one of my favorite wigs, especially when you want a short look without actually cutting your hair. You just put it on and go! It's trendy, sleek, and I received so many compliments when I wore it! Everyone said, "OMG Brittaney, I love your new cut!" But to be honest, I really bought this wig after I saw Kim Kardashian with this look and wanted to see if I could pull it off — and might I say, I think I did! —Brittaney Trent

Get it from Amazon for $26.79+ (available in 12 shades). Check out their color chart for reference!

    6. Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb is the lightweight moisturizer to end all lightweight moisturizers — the oil-free gel-cream formula instantly ~bursts~, disperses, and sinks into skin, banishing dryness/flakiness and leaving behind a hydrated, bouncy complexion.

    Kayla Suazo, Rachel Dunkel

Aqua Bomb moisturizer is easily my desert island skincare product. Although I have dry-leaning combination skin, I hate most moisturizers because creamy formulas feel heavy and just yucky to me, especially under makeup. Aqua Bomb's gel-like consistency absorbs like a dream. It's soothing to stressed out skin in the winter and cooling through the heat of summer. I recommend it to friends of all skin types because it gives your skin that bouncy hydration it craves without feeling oily in the slightest. I've put it on every night and most mornings for years and have no plans of stopping anytime soon! —Rachel Dunkel

This winter has been unusually brutal for my skin, especially for my T-zone. My forehead, nose, and chin are constantly peeling and there are days when I seriously feel like I’m shedding out of my own skin. I tried doubling up on moisturizing and hydrating masks, but nothing was keeping my face from peeling throughout the day. I’d put my makeup on and by midday the flakes were back.

I finally asked my coworkers for some recommendations and per their direction decided to give this Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb a shot. It’s on the pricier side, but given that my cheaper moisturizers weren’t doing the trick, I figured it would be the worth the splurge. Well thank heavens I WAS RIGHT. This baby right here is a long-lasting moisturizer that makes my thirsty skin feel like it was dunked in a cooling bath of rich water concocted by the gods themselves. And then — yeah, I am not done yet — it dries, and leaves behind the most refreshing, cooling sensation. To top it all off, the flakes are gone. I use it before makeup application and before bed, and just like that, my face has stopped peeling, even on the coldest days. I could go on and on about this, but I’ll wrap this up with a good ol’: BUY THIS, YOU WON’T REGRET IT. —Kayla Suazo

Get it from Sephora for $22+ (available in mini and full sizes).

    7. Herbivore Orchid Youth-Preserving Facial Oil nourishes skin, protects against the elements, and improves elasticity with a combination of orchid extract, fatty acids, camellia flower oil, and jasmine sambac oil — and when applied using their Jade Roller, it minimizes the chances of blemishes forming, reduces puffiness, and eases muscle tension. It's your very own mini facial treatment, if you will!

    Gabriella Lewis

With the weather getting super dry and cold here in New York, I was on the hunt for something to both moisturize and brighten my skin. I have naturally dry, semi-sensitive skin and have used all kinds of masks and moisturizers with no luck, but Herbivore's vegan Orchid Oil and Jade Roller was exactly what I was looking for!

Let me just start by saying that I am OBSESSED with the way the Orchid Oil smells. It smells like a garden of jasmine and roses, is intensely hydrating (it actually soaks into my face instead of just sitting on top of it like a lot of moisturizers do), and is a great base for makeup. The oil actually acts as a natural barrier against dryness and heat as well! I typically will add a drop or two to my neck instead of perfume just because I love the scent that much.

I was a little skeptical about using oil and a jade roller to moisturize and apply products, but not touching and rubbing my face has helped to clear my skin of blemishes. Plus, the coolness of the jade helps reduce puffiness. Jade has a lot of great benefits including easing muscle tension and improving the elasticity of skin, but something that I learned was that it's important to roll outwards and in upwards directions, starting at your neck and jawline and ending at your eyes and forehead! It's a fun and relaxing little pre-bedtime ritual. My skin is super bright and hydrated throughout the day now and it's been life-changing having a skincare routine that actually works! —Gabriella Lewis

Get them from Sephora: the Orchid Oil for $64 and Jade Roller for $30.
