Just some little, life-improving finds.
I need it to be as dark as possible in order to sleep, and I've been searching my whole life for the sleep mask that wouldn't let me down. The main problem was that any sleep mask with an elastic strap would eventually loosen, and I'd have to buy a new one that was tight enough — or else the mask would warp over time and light would start sneaking in, disturbing my sleep.
But this cotton sleepmask is PERFECT. It uses a velcro closure in the back, so I can adjust it perfectly every time — and the mask is large enough that light doesn't seep in, nor is it so big that it becomes unwieldy. The cotton is really soft and feels nice against my skin, and I've been falling asleep much faster and sleeping much better since I've started using it.

I love my cat Moe more than I care for most people, but I don't particularly love how much he sheds on everything. I'd tried out the grooming glove on him, but for whatever reason, he didn't like how it felt and went running whenever I took it out of the drawer. But he loves the feeling of this brush! And hoo-boy, does this thing collect fur. It gathers up all the loose fur that he was surely about to shed on my clothes and furniture. Plus, the brush comes with a release button, making removing the fur from it a lot easier. I've already noticed a difference in Moe's coat, plus there's a lot less fur lying around the house.

Moe also gets the occasional eye crusty (don't worry, he's been to the vet and they assure me it's just allergies), and he didn't like me trying to wipe them off with a simple Kleenex. While he doesn't love these pads, he'll tolerate it (a huge success in my books!), and they clearly have a much better effect on his eyes. Because they're pre-soaked, they don't pull at his fur and skin when I'm wiping his face, and they also gently soothe area around his eyes, too. They work on dogs, too!

I've had sleep issues my whole life, and I've lost count of the number of nights I've just stared at my bedroom ceiling, begging my mind to calm the hell down and let me get some sleep. Somehow, it didn't occur to me to try melatonin until just a few months ago, and the affect they've had on those sleepless night has been HUGE. When I'm feeling restless, I just take a couple of these gummies (which are delicious, btw) and I have a nice, deep sleep. I don't wake up groggy, either, which is fantastic.

I love a good puzzle, whether it's a physical puzzle, a logic puzzle, or a riddle I can roll around in my brain for several days. So working my way through Journal 29 has been one of the most fun puzzle experiences I've ever had. Every time you turn the page, there'll be a puzzle/riddle to solve on the right and a QR code on the left. Once you think you've solved the puzzle, scan the code with your phone, enter the answer, and if you're right, it'll give you a keyword that'll help you solve future puzzles. It starts off relatively easy, but gets harder as you go along.
The puzzles are challenging, but not so challenging that I ever want to give up (I know I can figure it out eventually, darn it!!) — but if you get really stuck, there is a hints forum that will help you out. And if puzzles aren't really your jam, this book would make a great gift for any puzzle-loving friends or family members.

My apartment bathroom is T-I-N-Y, and does not have a ton of storage space. The area under my sink is already a mess, and the situation was not helped by all my styling tools. This wire basket has been a godsend — it fits my hair dryer, my straightener, and my John Freida hot air styling brush, and it just hangs on the back of the cabinet door. One day, I'll get a bigger bathroom, but for now, this organization basket is helping a lot. Now I just have to worry about what to do with the rest of the cabinet.

I'm know I'm not alone in not washing my makeup brushes as often as I should. It takes forever, and even once I'm done cleaning them, I still have to let them dry overnight. But this spinning makeup brush cleaner has totally changed the game. It uses a battery-operated spinner to swish the dirty brush in soapy water (I just used liquid soap, but you can also use special makeup brush shampoo), and then you just lift the brush out of the water and keep it spining for a few seconds — voilà! Within 30 seconds, the brush is totally clean and — more importantly — totally dry.
The spinner works with almost any size of makeup brush (it comes with several sizes of holders, so you can use whichever one fits best), though I will say that if you have any double-ended makeup brushes, they probably won't work with this system. That being said, with this spinning cleaner, I cleaned and dried all of my makeup brushes in under ten minutes. Now I'll actually clean them on the regular.

Living in Canada, the air gets super dry in the winter, and my skin suffers the consequences. While a good moisturizer certainly helps, this humidifier also plays a huge part in keeping moisture in the air in my apartment. On a full tank, it can run for up to 30 hours (though I usually have it set on high, which still results in 12 hours of humidifier time). It's totally silent, so it doesn't disrupt anything, and it automatically shuts off when it's empty. The mist isn't hot at all, so it doesn't turn my apartment into a tropical jungle. Plus, it's simple to clean (it even comes with its own cleaning brush), and while I do have to buy replacement filters every six months or so, it's totally worth it.

For YEARS, I have been chasing the soft, shiny look of my just-salon-styled hair, and just couldn't find the right products — either they left my hair looking and feeling greasy, or they caused build-up on my scalp, or they just plain didn't work at all. But the Herstyler hair repair serum worked wonders the very first time I used it.
I just had to use one little pump of serum and work it through my damp hair — it's so light I honestly wondered if I was using enough! But once I blow-dried and styled my hair, it felt AMAZING. And at last — AT LAST! — my hair is just as shiny and gorgeous as it is when I leave the salon. It doesn't make my hair greasy and doesn't clog my hair follicles, either.

A few months ago, I burned my forehead with a curling iron. (No, I don't have any photos of it, because... well, I was embarrassed.) The mark faded within a couple of weeks, but not completely, and it didn't seem to be going away. Since I started using Bio Oil in January, the scar has faded a lot more — as have the acne scars I've had for years. As a surprising bonus, I haven't had ANY acne breakouts since I started using it (not even right before my period, which is usually prime breakout time!). I use it in the morning and right before bed, after applying my toner but before applying my moisturizer, and my skin has never looked or felt better.

I bought these on a whim, and my boyfriend and I used them on Valentine's Day over some wine. We had a really great night! The questions are a mixture of silly and thought-provoking, and they sparked some interesting conversations between us that we wouldn't have otherwise had. We learned new things about each other, had several laughs, and ultimately felt closer to one another.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I don't like the idea of someone secretly watching me through my webcam. These covers are easy to stick on and work with most computers, and even with tablets and phones. The cover easily slides open when I do want to use the camera, and then I just cover it up again when I'm done. And the pack comes with three covers, so you can deal with all your devices.

I love my Apple TV, but the remote is so small that I would lose it constantly — plus, because of its symmetrical design, I'd often mix up which end was the handle and which end I was supposed to click. Now that I have this bright green cover, I haven't lost the remote even once. And because of its shape, I automatically know which part of it to hold! This cover also helps protect my remote from any scratches or dings from dropping it on the floor. It's a pretty simple product, but it's helped my TV-watching habits immensely.

I like to go jogging, and sometimes my schedule is so busy that I can't run until the sun has gone down. I worry about getting hit by a vehicle who can't see me in the dark, which is why wearing this reflective vest has been so helpful. Any light — whether headlines or streetlamps — bounces right off of it, making it clear that HEY, I'M JOGGIN', HERE! Obviously I still pay careful attention to streetlights and right of way, but I'm definitely a lot more comfortable jogging when I wear this vest.

I hate winter, and not just because of the cold, but because I've never been able to find a pair of winter boots I really loved. Either they weren't warm enough, or they gave me blisters, or they were hideous, or they weren't nearly as waterproof as they claimed they were. But then I found THESE SNEAKER-LIKE BOOTS and I am in heaven. Where have these been all my life? They look like high-top sneakers, but they've got a faux-fur lining to keep my tootsies warm, they're comfortable as heck, they look awesome, and they are ACTUALLY WATERPROOF against the slush and snow. They even have side zippers so I can easily slip them on and off.

I got the Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas and it's the best gift I've received in years. It's so easy to read (you can change the font and the font size, plus there's a dark mode for when you're reading in low light), and I love that I can switch between books so easily. I also recommend this fabric cover for it — it's a bit pricier than other Kindle covers, but the fabric is waterproof, and it's got a magnet that'll hold the cover open while you read. If you're a bookworm like I am, this is life saver.
