Spotted: the original Gossip Girl cast.
Since hanging up her Queen Bee crown, Leighton Meester has acted steadily in both TV and movies, as well as released an album, Heartstrings. Her most recent acting role was in Single Parents, a sitcom in which she played a single mother that lasted for two seasons before being cancelled in 2020.
Leighton is, of course, married to fellow teen drama alumni Adam Brody, and the pair have two kids together.
Blake has acted almost exclusively in movies since Gossip Girl ended, most notably in The Age of Adaline and A Simple Favor and most recently in The Rhythm Section. She had a stint as a lifestyle guru when she launched Preserve in 2014, a digital magazine and e-commerce site, but she closed it in 2015.
Blake is married to Ryan Reynolds, and they have three kids together.
Penn is perhaps the Gossip Girl cast member who currently has the most current cultural cachet thanks to his role as lead character Joe (who is like Dan Humphrey turned up to 100) in Netflix's megahit You. He's acted in other TV and movies over the years, but none as successful as You. He also released an album with his band Mothxr in 2016.
He's married to singer Domino Kirke, and the pair have one child.
Since Gossip Girl finished, Chace has acted in some movies and TV shows; most recently he found success in the role of Kevin Moskowitz, aka the Deep, in the superhero show The Boys.
In 2017, Ed Westwick was accused of sexual assault by three women. He denied the allegations, and the charges were eventually cleared. Production of the series he was working on at the time, White Gold, was paused, but resumed in 2018, and the episodes were released in 2019. In 2020 he starred in the movie Me, You, Madness.
Taylor hasn't acted since departing Gossip Girl in season 4 (aside from a brief guest spot in season 6). Instead, she's been focused on her band, The Pretty Reckless, releasing several albums over the years, including Death by Rock and Roll in February 2021.
Jessica also left Gossip Girl after season 4 and returned for a cameo in the series finale in season 6. Since then, she's acted consistently, including in shows Kingdom, Twin Peaks, Shameless, and most recently The Orville.
She's married to ice hockey player Brad Richardson, and they have one child.
Michelle may never have been main cast, but Georgina was nevertheless an iconic character. Despite several other high-profile roles before Gossip Girl (Harriet the Spy and Buffy, hello), Michelle's acting work has dwindled over the years; she most recently starred in Human Kind Of in 2018, an animated show that was cancelled after one season. Since then, Michelle appears to have been focused on screenwriting, and in early 2021 she hosted and produced the true crime show Meet, Marry, Murder.
