Yes! I started asking myself, "am I not doing this (laundry, dishes, school assignment, etc.) right now because I'm lazy, or do I have a valid reason?" If I don't have a valid reason, it motivates me to get it done.
I get that it goes up in value. I'm more just saying that the leap in value was from $50,000 to over a million. Of course it'd be insane to expect a $50,000 house in 2022, but that big oh a jump is just not attainable for most families.
My grandparents bought a house on Maui in the 1950's for under $50,000. That same house, a 70+ year old original house with hardly any renovations since, is now worth over a million dollars. And did I mention, it's sitting on a teeny tiny lot in a gully?!
I worked in oncology for years and I'll never forget, the main oncologist, who owned multiple oncology clinic locations, telling me he would never have chemo if he got cancer. He was in the field for over THIRTY YEARS and I was shocked when his job was prescribing it to so many people…
I've never felt so represented. This is all me. Minus admitting to a complete stranger I "about shit my pants." I personally prefer to be subtle, without drawing more attention to it. 😂
And to think, there's somebody out there who is going to find the person of their dreams, who has a bio exactly like the above ones. There's somebody for everybody, or so they say!
I'm #14 and I regret to inform all you kind folks of Buzzfeed, the floor still has unfortunately not opened up and swallowed me. I still wish it would when I cringe and think about this memory... which is far more often than I should. #traumatized 😂
etconner, I agree and thank you for saying that! Definitely priceless to me and I wouldn't change it.
candcfactory, lol! That is so awesome you were able to do that though!
