43 Practical Things For Your Bathroom You Probably Won't Regret Buying

We're going beyond the extra roll of TP and shower curtain, here.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. A shower curtain liner with mesh storage pockets I love and will buy for as long as it's a thing I can buy.

    Elizabeth Lilly / BuzzFeed

Yep, you're looking at my shower! I upgraded from a corner tension rod caddy and never want to go back. The mesh pockets drain water so your liner won't get all icky. And they make it easy to tell the difference between the minimalist packaging for your face wash and shave cream when it's way too early in the morning. Read my ~full review~ (#2) to learn more about why I'm in love with an object that can't love me back.

Get it from Overstock for $25.97.

    2. A pumice stone toilet bowl cleaner to remove all sorts of stubborn rings other stuff hasn't been able to tackle just yet. Just make sure you wet it first!!!

    Bed Bath & Beyond

Promising review: "I can’t believe it but it really does work! I have tried so many different things to remove the ring in our toilet and nothing has worked, I thought this was another gimmick but has to try. With a little bit of pressure it removed the ring right off." —Nlj

Get it from Bed Bath & Beyond for $9.99.

    3. A MakeUp Eraser that'll remove your day's face with *just* water. Say goodbye to ruined, mascara-stained washcloths!

I've used these for years and LOVE them. My normal day of makeup includes longwearing foundation, and waterproof mascara and eyeliner, and these work! But don't just listen to just me. We tested them out for BuzzFeed Reviews and they won out for the best makeup remover in our mid-tier price category. But they're incredibly cost-efficient in comparison to disposable makeup wipes, as you can wash each for up to 1,000 washes.

Get it from Sephora for $20 (available in pink or black).

    4. A TubShroom for clearing recently departed strands out of your shower drain sooo much faster.

Sorry not sorry, but I'm also obsessed with this product! I have thick, long hair and have lived with other people with a lot of hair. This thing is totally game-changing! If you don't believe me (EVEN THOUGH YOU SHOULD), check out the below:

Get it from Target for $14.99 (gray) or Bed Bath & Beyond for $12.99 (four colors).

    5. Double shower curtain hooks for the simplest of switches to make you wonder how the heck you weren't using these before!

That was me. I detest loop shower rings because they're such a hassle when you're swapping out a shower liner or taking down your shower curtain to wash it. Yep, these are my shower hooks and they're sturdy enough to stay balanced when you switch out the liner or shower curtain.

Get a 12-pack from Target for $10 (available in three finishes).

    6. A Squatty Potty which, if you don't already know what it does, helps position your body in a way that'll feel more natural for your colon and, therefore, make going no. 2 easier. (More or less.)

Promising review: "I purchased this out of desperation during my pregnancy and it has been a game-changer for me! Yes, it's sort of ridiculous and funny but it stores nicely under the toilet and has made the bathroom issues associated with pregnancy so much easier." —DM

Get it from Target for $24.99 (7-inch or 9-inch versions; also available in an adjustable 7-inch to 9-inch convertible, 7-inch curved, 7-inch portable versions).

    7. Poo-Pourri to spray beforehand and eliminate odors in the toilet bowl because nature has to call, but it doesn't have to stay on the line.

This stuff WORKS. Trust me. Once you start using it you'll be hooked!

Promising review: "Great scent and solid product. It doesn't just mix and mingle with bad odors, it actually locks them into the toilet where they belong! It IS on the expensive side for what amounts to water, essential oils, and alcohol in a small plastic bottle (easy to DIY), but the convenience and pleasant packaging is part of the appeal. I still think it could easily be under <$8 and not $10 for 2 oz. We're talking about toilet spray, after all." —RR

Get it from Target for $9.99 (available in many more scents).

    8. Or if you're not into the idea of a pre-spray, an odor-neutralizing candle made for pet-filled homes will also do some heavy duty work on bathroom smells.

    Pet House

I've owned several of these soy candles (soy candles burn slower, FYI) and continue to love them over all other candles. Read all about why I love them more than any other candles in our review of One Fur All Pet House Candles.

Get it from Chewy for $21.95 (available in many scents).

    9. A waterproof toothbrush holder that'll easily grip onto tile, glass, or mirror surfaces (aka, most anywhere in your bathroom) so you're never accidentally knocking your toothbrush in the shower or toilet.

    Bed Bath & Beyond

Get it from Bed Bath & Beyond for $15.99.

    10. An over-the-tank toilet paper holder with enough room to hold super-sized rolls.

Please don't make me explain *why* it's good to have a spare roll of toilet paper by your side. Also be sure to measure your toilet tank before you hit Buy because some reviewers say this doesn't fit because they didn't measure before purchase!

Get it from Target for $9.99 (also available in silver).

    11. A bidet attachment that'll make you rue the day you started buying wet wipes in the pursuit of cleanliness instead of installing one of these babes.

Promising review: "10/10 stars! Easy to install, looks cute in my bathroom, and my butt has never been cleaner. I laughed until I cried the first time I tried it because of the surprising sensation. Now I’m recommending a Tushy to everyone I know!!" —Whitney B.

Get it from Tushy for $89 (available in nine color combos).

    14. An incredibly soft bath sheet, YES a bath sheet you'll wish you'd been using this whole time. It's bigger and better than a regular ole bath towel and this brand's towels just keep getting softer and softer the more you wash them.

I've had one of these since this company launched a few years ago and it's just gotten softer and softer. I'm QUEEN of sitting around in a towel or robe in my apartment, so if you're one of my people in that regard you should get a bath sheet too. THOUGH the regular bath towels are also fantastic.

Get it from Snowe for $60 (available in five colors).

    15. An anti-slip shower mat because you don't need another close call thanks to the super moisturizing hair mask you love that always greases up your tub.

Get it from The Home Depot for $12.01.

    17. A Sonicare electric toothbrush your dentist will be so proud you finally started using.

I can't be the only person who's heard they needed to get an electric toothbrush over and over again at the dentist.

Promising review: "I had a couple of these in the past. The past several years I had an Oral-B, which was fine. Now that I’ve compared the two, I definitely choose the Sonic. This model is slicker, lighter, cheaper than in the past. It works great and the heads are made cheaper now too, but they seem to work better. I’m impressed." —Taj

Get it from Target for $49.99 (available in four colors).

    18. And while we're on the subject, a water flosser to do the dirty work of flossing you always "forget" to do. This is how to get that just-left-the-dentist clean that every toothpaste commercial promises. Really.

Has 10 pressure settings and 6 water flossing tips.

Promising review: "I had one before, lasted for around 10 years before it started to leak a bit. Very happy with this new one — seems there is more power as I have it set at a lower setting. Very easy to use and hope this one lasts for a decade again." —kls

    35. And a timed safety shut-off plug in case your holy grail hair straightener doesn't have an auto-shutoff and you're a tad forgetful.

Promising review: "I started trying to train my wavy hair to have more wave and curls, and started plopping my hair in a similar towel. It was fine, but I'd still have to hit it with a diffuser. This towel significantly cuts down my drying time, and my hair has had noticeably less frizz. I'd say this is absolutely worth it, I might even get a second one to have on hand." —theladytiv
