Who knew your skin could love the winter so much?
Promising review: "This cream is great! I have dry, sensitive skin. Especially during the winter and it makes my skin look and feel hydrated. It gives me a hydrated glow after and I can feel it working into my pores. When I use this at night, the scent can be a little overpowering but wears off after a couple of minutes. Great to use during night and day, perfect for the fall/winter season!" —Haleijen

Promising review: "This lotion definitely appears pricy especially for the size, but I believe it’s so worth it. I’ve been buying this product consistently for about a year and a half now and I will still continue to buy. It leaves my face feeling super soft and does not feel greasy at all. In the past, I would struggle with very dry skin in the wintertime and for the past two winters I have used this product, I did not get any dry skin AT ALL. And, when my face isn’t dry, it’s actually fairly oily, and using this lotion doesn’t make it any oilier. In fact, I think it’s caused my skin to be less oily in the long run. I also have sensitive skin and have had no trouble. A great lotion that is worth the price!" —Sandra

Promising review: "Great product! Finally, I have no excuse to not wear sunscreen every day. This product is perfect for my dry skin and it goes on smoothly (unlike the chalky stuff that left my skin greasy but never truly moisturized). I use this on myself and on my kids. On our second jar now." —Mellano

Promising review: "I love the texture of this balm! It has made my skin feel so soft and winter dryness is gone in a matter of minutes. I have been using it on my hands that are very dry but not quite cracked and it has made them feel nice. The ingredients are all-natural oils, some beeswax, and vitamin C so there was nothing that I did not want to put on my skin! It has a nice light scent so I will continue to use as I have skin issues." —Jessica W.

Promising review: "My skin is suuuper dry and I struggle to find a moisturizer that can keep it from flaking — especially in the winter. I started using this a few months ago and it kept my skin from drying out and flaking during the winter months but didn't make it greasy once the weather started warming up as most thick moisturizers do. This is now a staple in my skincare routine. I bought the larger-sized tub and it's 100% worth the money. A little goes a long way with this, so even though I've had it for months, I'm only about halfway through with it. I usually use this as a nighttime moisturizer, but if I run out of my daytime moisturizer, this stuff works just as well under my makeup." —Karen B.

Promising review: "This lotion is excellent for everyday use. Even though it feels very lightweight, it moisturizes very well, even keeping itchy winter skin under control. After using it regularly for almost a month, I've definitely noticed my skin is smoother and more hydrated. It's not caused any breakouts when I've used it on my face, and it absorbs quickly without a greasy feel." —Elizabeth G. Jones

Our bodies (specifically our sebaceous gland) naturally produce squalene to help keep our skin stay super hydrated and protected, but as we get older we make less. Back in the day, cosmetic companies would pull squalene from shark livers (which is terrible tbqh).

Promising review: "I've been using this for three weeks now and I can honestly say I'm highly impressed. I have very dry skin and wearing makeup in the winter in PA is a nightmare for me. About a week into using this, my skin appeared softer and less dry. After three weeks in, it is super soft and smooth and there is barely any dryness throughout the entire day. My makeup finally looks good in the winter! I've tried so many different products over the years and this has been the best so far. I even used Clinique's Moisture Surge, which is comparable to look and feel, but so expensive for a tiny amount of product, but didn't work as good as this did. I'm a huge fan!" —Tamara Ramer
Promising review: "There's a sucker born every minute, and I am one of them. La Mer? Yep, I bought that. Chanticaille? Yep, guilty. Philosophy? Yep, there's hope in my jar. Skinceuticals? Yep, that too. Expensive salon facials? Yep, I did those. The end results of all my expensive facial product experiments? Nothing earth-shattering. If I'm being honest, I liked the La Mer, but I like the Olay Regenerist just as much, and it's waaaaay cheaper. This is a really good moisturizer, and the best I've ever found at this price point. It won't perform miracles, but then again, what does? I will continue to buy this. It's my go-to in the winter months when my skin is drier. I'm done wasting money on expensive gimmick facial creams." —Amy92010

Promising review: "I got this on a whim when I saw other great reviews. I’m only 22 so I’m not trying to ~remove wrinkles~ or anything, I just want a good moisturizer because it’s winter in west MI and I’m hella dry. I've used it twice a day since getting it (in the morning after my shower, after work when I wash off makeup, and once more before bed. Before this, I used a general moisturizer with salicylic acid to ward off my T-zone acne but I always had some kind of blemish anyway. Since I started this I have not had a single blemish and my skin has been SO soft and clear. I was afraid to try this because it’s a huge tub and I didn’t want to waste it. Honestly, I will never use ANY OTHER moisturizer again. A little goes a long way and it has a clean, subtle scent." —Kitty G

Promising review: "I got this stuff as a sample and I knew immediately as I ran out of the packets I needed a full size. I suffer from acne-prone skin and I'm so hesitant to put on anything (i.e. moisturizers, makeup, etc). I try to stay away from putting on foundation and my skin has been so good since using this. It keeps my skin insanely hydrated all day and gives me a glow without using any type of foundation or tinted moisturizer. Also a little goes a LONG way, a few tiny dots and your face is covered. It was perfect in the winter and kept my face balanced and hydrated." —ChicAthlete95

Promising review: "I live in the Northeast US and during the long winters, my skin tends to get very dry. In the past, I'd used Neutrogena or other pharmacy brand lotions, but I'd always been put off by the cologne-heavy scents and the filmy, oily residue that they seemed to leave behind. I reluctantly picked up this Jack Black Double-Duty moisturizer after reading about it on a men's style blog, a bit skeptical about whether it would be worth the substantially higher cost than I was used to paying. It was worth every cent. This lotion has a really light scent, but it's masculine, natural, and very relaxing, actually. The lotion itself is incredible: it doesn't leave my face feeling like it's covered in a moisturizer — it just leaves my faces feeling moisturized. It's the way it usually feels in the summer months, healthy and soft to the touch, but not oily. I only need to use three tiny squirts of it to cover my entire face and it lasts all day. A tiny 3.3 oz bottle of this stuff usually lasts me three to four months, even though I use it on a daily basis. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good lotion that won't leave them with an oily face or smelling like they rolled around in the storeroom of a Sephora. Most importantly, your significant other with definitely thank you." —kinojay33

Promising review: "I love this lotion so much! It was recommended by my dermatologist since I have oily and acne-prone skin. This lotion doesn’t clog pores and it moisturizes well, even in the middle of winter. You can really smell the sunscreen element but the scent only lingers for about 15-20 minutes after application. The lotion is great for under makeup as well. There are no issues with wear time at all." —StacyT

Promising review: "Quite thick, but I have very dry skin and extra help is needed, especially in the winter. It has a very strong herbal smell, but that dissipates soon enough. Some residue seems to remain after hand washing, but that's not necessarily a bad thing (I use this mainly as a hand lotion). I wash my hands frequently so I really need a very emollient hand cream and this really fits the bill. The tube is metal, and for whatever reason, I like that. Small enough to fit in my purse, but still a quantity that will last a long time. You only need a small amount." —Stella Burton

Promising review: "I have rosacea and very reactive skin and this cream soothes and moisturizes without breaking me out or making me red. It’s very difficult to find a good moisturizer without parabens, harsh acids — like glycolic, fragrance, BHT, and other unnecessary additives and preservatives. It’s pricey but its efficacy is in its simplicity." —courteney

Promising review: "Love this moisturizer! It’s lightweight but great in the winter weather as well. I’ve switched to natural products and had tried quite a few options prior to finding Instnatural. Promising review: "I love it. And my overly sensitive and dry skin does too. My go-to in the nasty Wisconsin winters. I have very dry and sensitive skin and it did not break me out. I was so very skeptical to purchase this as I haven't been able to find a product with sunscreen in it that was actually good to my face. I did not have to lather this up as I have done with previous products from the drug store. I knew I liked it a lot but have recently run out and THEN I knew just how much I really like it. I was in a panic that I had run out." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "This product works wonders on dry skin!! I've been having a horrible time coping with this cold winter but this cream realllly helps my skin lose that dry flaky feel I get this time of year. I also have a mild case of eczema — typically I get flare-ups with the change of weather — and sure enough, comes the first cold blast my skin is itching and getting the patches like crazy. I didn't think this would work on it but sure enough, I put it on a small patch on my arm and it instantly helped the itch! I will try it again come summer when round two of eczema hits with the change to hot weather!" —Parz

Promising review: "This stuff is EXCELLENT. I am very happy with the moisturizer, and I think the C serum underneath it also really helps. This is the first winter in many years that my skin hasn't started to peel off in the cold, and amazingly dry, Santa Fe winter weather (50% humidity is high here, even right after it snows). — It's a month and a half, and this moisturizer is really great. It keeps my skin breathing and flexible over the C serum and somehow works with the serum to really protect against the freeze-dry peeling effect I used to get here in the winters. The price is more than reasonable and the ingredients are a lot nicer than moisturizers I used to pay twice as much for. I'm totally sticking with this stuff!" —Rebekah M. Levy

Promising review: "Clinique Moisture Surge is gentle for sensitive skin and feels like it soaks into parched skin immediately and evens out the texture with a barrier against dry winter air. I love it for when my skin is irritated and dry. I put it on under makeup or when I go to bed." —Coolmum48

Promising review: "I've been using this for the past few weeks and I must say: I love this gel-cream. It says for extra dry skin and trust when I say I have extra dry skin, especially during the winter. Suffice it to say that my whole face, pretty much, gets dry and crusty, especially the forehead and chin areas. My skin gets so dry that in some parts, particularly the corners of my nose, that it peels, itches, and burns; ever since I started using this gel-cream I've noticed a huge difference, even from the first time I used it. It keeps my face soft and moisturized the entire day. It even takes away the shine my forehead tends to get after I wash it. Every. Time. It's also very gentle on my sensitive skin; not one breakout from using it. I highly recommend it." —Amanda Rubio

Promising review: "Makes my face happy and soothed. Thick (but not gooey thick) and emollient; perfect for face care in harsh winter weather that tries to beat your skin up. Would not recommend for oily skin nor acne-prone skin unless you have acne medication that dries up your skin, then the face cream and meds seem to balance each other out. Without the meds though, I'm pretty sure it would break me out. Smells nice." —CombatMarshmallow

It was selected Best Day Cream for Dry Skin by O, Oprah Magazine Beauty Awards 2017.
Promising review: "Best face care product I have ever used! I tried this on a whim because my dry sensitive skin (prone to oily patches and large pores) was even drier than usual and nothing I had was helping. I didn't want to get into winter and have the dreaded flaky skin, especially on the rare days I wear makeup. Anyways, this lotion exceeds all my wants in every way. It is lightweight, non-greasy, absorbs very quickly, and lasts all day. It has never caused the hair around my face to get greasy, a frequent issue of mine, nor caused my glasses to slide up and down my nose on an oil slick. I do not leave face prints on my cell phone either. My skin has improved so dramatically in the last few weeks of using this that I am tempted to believe it's a bit magical. My pores have visibly shrunk around my nose and cheeks — always the worst area for me. My skin color has dramatically evened out and improved with much less redness. And, most importantly, I always feel hydrated now and don't have any dry skin on my face. I have had zero issues wearing this under my makeup or applying liberally around the eye area. I wish this product was available by the bucket so I could slather it everywhere!! (Although a couple of tiny drops do the trick, don't slather it on.)" —supersjh

Promising review: "I love this cream so much! It’s probably one of the best creams to use on my face in the winter, but I like to use it as a night cream in the summer too! It’s extremely thick so if thick is not your thing then don’t buy this! I, however, love the thick and rich texture and find it leaves my face extremely soft and hydrated!" —Kyanna Lenz

Promising review: "Works WONDERS for hydrating my face. I use a benzoyl peroxide face wash in the shower and in the winter sometimes I get out and my face feels like it's superglued together and can't move it's so dry, lol. This stuff literally takes all flakes and dryness away and hydrates it again, smells EXTREMELY clean, AND does not break me out whatsoever which is good because I have very acne-prone skin. I have never once noticed it causing pimples. Third time ordering it. Will keep doing so!" —Gary West

Promising review: "I live in Minnesota where the winter has begun and with it, dry air outside and super dry air inside. My skin was starting to get dry patches even with my expensive face cream from Sephora. I didn't want to spend another $55 so I searched on Amazon under organic face cream. So glad I did. My skin feels so soft since I've been using Era Organics yet not greasy at all. I'm 53-years-old and I take good care of my skin. I highly recommend this product. I did not receive a discount or incentive for my review, I just like the product and feel it's worth letting others know." —Lisame

Promising review: "Last winter, with the intense cold and dry air, my skin became severely sensitized! Once my skin became that severely damaged, nothing that I tried would help! My skin was itching and burning so bad, I thought I’d lose my mind. I had developed patches of eczema in different areas of my body, which had never happened to me. It was interfering with my quality of life. After trying many things, I went online and came across this wonderful product! I read great reviews from people like myself who had tried so many products to no avail, but this worked for them. I immediately ordered it through Amazon and applied it as soon as it arrived! I just can’t tell you the relief I felt! I have been using this product for about six months and I would never be without it! It’s the best!" —Judy Kostoulakos

Promising review: "There is literally nothing I don't like about this moisturizer. It is pricey, but very much worth the price. I was having severely dry skin this past winter and no matter how much I moisturized, I was waking up with dry patches of skin, especially around my nose. After using this for a week, I noticed that my skin was much more hydrated and supple-looking and the dry patched were greatly diminished. After four months, my dry patches are completely gone and the skin under my eyes is less wrinkled and dry. For me, this is now a holy grail moisturizer, I love it." —Charles and Jenn

Promising review: "I've struggled with dry winter skin and acne for years. I hate a lot of skin maintenance so it was always frustrating to me that I actually needed to use a PRODUCT in the wintertime to keep from breaking out in large, flaky patches. I was looking for something light, something that would plump up the little fine lines that come with being middle-aged, and something that wouldn't break me out. And we have five children so I'm a fan of cheap. I shop based on reviews, and reviewer after reviewer convinced me to try it. I'm so glad I did. I'm on my second purchase of it and I truly love it. It isn't greasy or gloppy and I can put my makeup on over it minutes after applying. My skin is clearer than it has been in years. And I've still got a few lines but I get comments on my clear skin often. A little goes a long way. Love this product!!" —Jennifer K Thorpe

Promising review: "I had never heard of this product until a friend recommended it recently. My skin this winter has been dry and cracked and peeling. It has been so dry that it has been painful, and no amount of lotion has made any difference. Aquaphor changed everything. I used the product consistently for only three days and began seeing results. My skin stopped peeling and began to heal. At the end of a week, the skin that had cracked open had healed closed again. It was no longer painful, and of course, it looks better too! I don't really use lotion anymore; I just use Aquaphor." —actorlynx
