There’s A Fan Theory That “Game Of Thrones’” Ending Was Predicted In Its First-Ever Poster And Even Sophie Turner Is Shook

This post obviously contains spoilers for the series finale of Game of Thrones.

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan (and even if you’re not, TBH), you’ll know by now that the show ended with Sansa Stark taking her place on the throne as Queen in the North.

Meanwhile, her brother Bran took control of the remaining Six Kingdoms, although he didn’t get to sit on the Iron Throne, because it’s all melted. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, fans have come up with a theory that the ending should’ve been obvious all along, and it goes all the way back to the first season of the show.

In case you don’t remember, here’s the first-ever poster HBO released for Game of Thrones, showing Ned Stark sitting on the Iron Throne:

If you look closely, you can see a raven perching next to Ned on the arm of the Throne.

And we all know who the Three-Eyed Raven is, right???

Well, in a recent interview with Metro, Sophie Turner herself found out about the theory, and her reaction was honestly iconic.

When Sophie was asked if the show had contained any foreshadowing relating to Sansa’s ultimate fate, she said she would have to go back and look for it — although she did mention the moment in the first-ever episode where Sansa tells Catelyn she will be queen one day.

But it was actually Sophie’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix costar, Jessica Chastain, who told her about the poster theory.

    And this was Sophie’s reaction:

It looks like she’s convinced the theory is legit. You can watch Metro’s video in full here.
