From Cassandra Nova to Ant-Man's corpse, things are about to get really wild.
We get our first real Avengers tie-in with a shot of Nova stepping out of a huge corpse head, one that the trailer later reveals belongs to Ant-Man. This is a big hint that her origin will take place in an alternate timeline.
In the first X-Men film, we see Wolverine's claws for the first time after he wins a cage match and is sitting at a bar. He gets into a little brawl with someone who recognizes he's a mutant, and is forced to fight and then flee. In the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, we get a nod to that OG scene. It actually looks like the same bar!
It's hard to make out everyone in this scene, but those who are obvious include Lady Deathstrike, Azazel, Pyro, Toad, and Callisto. The super buff guy to the right of Azazel looks like Kevin Nash as the Russian (From The Punisher). It seems like Nova is leading a team of pruned villains, or something like that.
If you blink, you'll miss the Iron Man logo up top of the classic car being driven by a mysterious character (RDJ, is that YOU?!?). This resembles the car Tony Stark was working on in the original Iron Man, although some believe it could also be Red Skull's car from Captain America: The First Avenger refitted with the Iron Man logo.

The guardian of The Void from Loki makes a brief appearance, which is no surprise. We know from the teaser trailer that was released months ago that the TVA will play a vital role in Deadpool & Wolverine. Here, it seems like Alioth is consuming the area near or around Ant-Man's skull.
Rob Liefeld is one of the creators of the Deadpool character, and his style is etched into any X-Men comic reader's mind from the 90's. Back in those days, Liefeld was heavily criticized for how he drew feet. He either hid them in smoke and fog, or drew them in a way that made fans start a kind of "Rob can't draw feet" movement. The Liefeld's Just Feet shop behind Deadpool and Wolverine is an obvious nod to that hilarious criticism.
We also see a bar named Copper Heads in this sequence. Copperhead is a pretty random villain from Marvel Comics. A couple of people used the alias, but Davis Lawfers is the most popular. This could be a hint that Copperhead will appear in the film, and he has battled Spider-Man before. Ooo my Spidey Sense is tingling! Not to mention, Copperhead is a member of the Serpent Society, a crew of villains rumored to be in Captain America: Brave New World.
Deadpool & Wolverine's trailer dropped today, April 22, and uses Madonna's "Like a Prayer" as the musical backdrop. Fun fact, on Apr 22, 1989, "Like a Prayer" started a six-week run on top of the Billboard charts.
Toward the end of the trailer, we see Wolverine and Deadpool jump through an inter-dimensional portal. Will Doctor Strange make an appearance, or maybe Wong? My guess is the latter. It also seems like the portal is purposefully edited for the trailer, so we can't see what's on the other side. However, in the background, we can see Alioth's smoke.
Although a lot of the promotional imagery we've gotten of Wolverine in the film so far shows him in long sleeves, this trailer gives us the comic-accurate no-sleeve look.
Aww look, it's Dogpool! This Deadpool variant from the comics has all the same powers as his counterpart. I can't wait to see him whoop some ass.
Side note: Wolverine is not impressed here.
The "SMILE Wait For The Flash" sprawled around Deadpool's gun's muzzle is classic Wade Wilson humor and made me chuckle.
Leaked images from the set already gave us a peak at this scene, but it's dope to see it here. The now-defunct/rebranded 20th Century Fox studio logo can be seen in shambles in a wasteland, as Deadpool asks Wolverine about his destroyed world. I'm starting to think that incursions (which were last mentioned in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) will be a plot point for this film.
Side note: In short, incursions are when different universes collide and destroy everything in both worlds.
Okay, this may be a reach. But the wasteland where we see the 20th Century Fox logo has a broken-down ship in the background. Since this barren land appears to be a graveyard for the studio, it's possible that the ship is actually a piece of the Titanic, which was 20th Century Fox's most successful film. We all know Ryan Reynolds likes to poke fun at pop culture, so it would be hilarious to see some other 20th Century relics in the wasteland.
Deadpool hints that Wolverine's world "went to shit," and we get a scene where Logan is walking by what appears to be enormous gravestones. I'm not really sure what this connects to in the comics, but I'm excited to see where it goes.
