Lisa Kudrow Just Got Real About How Being On "Friends" Affected Her Body Image

"I just felt like this mountain of a woman next to them."

It may be almost 25 years since the show first aired, but we all still know and love Lisa Kudrow from her iconic role as Phoebe Buffay in Friends.

Of course, since the show is so well-loved, members of the core cast are still asked about it all these years later. So when Lisa appeared on the WTF podcast recently, she obviously talked a little bit about Friends.

Speaking to host Marc Maron, Lisa opened up about the not-so-great side of being on the show — namely the negative affect it had on her body image.

When asked if she'd ever had issues with eating habits and body image, Lisa said that there was a time during Friends when she feels she was too thin, but it never raised concerns from others.

Unfortunately for a woman, if you're underweight, you look "good" — that's all I ever got. [But] when I was too thin, I was sick all the time, with colds, sinus infections, some kind of flu. I was always sick.

She went on to say that seeing herself on TV next to her co-stars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston made her very aware of her own body.

The whole thing makes Lisa's recent confession that she never watches the show — because she "might not like herself" — even more moving, TBH.

But she did say that, while she still deals with body confidence issues, she's mostly learned to brush it off, instead focusing on the fact that getting older is a "good thing".
