    1. A tube of Essence's Lash Princess Mascara which gives you a falsies-level look for less than 5 bucks. It seems questionable, I know, but for confirmation you need only to look at the 213,000+ 5-star reviews!!

buzzfeed editor's eyes before and after using the mascara with the done lashes looking darker and longer
    Kayla Boyd / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed editor Kayla Boyd tried this out and raves:

"As someone who isn't a big fan of false lashes (the glue irritates my eyes and I'm terrible at applying them) this budget-friendly holy grail does the trick for both lengthening and volumizing my lashes. After you've given it a minute to dry, it lasts all day long and doesn't smudge or fade. It seriously gives the effect of false lashes without the discomfort."

Promising review: "After using Lights, Camera, Lashes by Tarte for the past year, I got tired of breaking the bank over mascara. My sister suggested Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love. It provides dramatic length and great volume. I can honestly say I can’t stop looking at my eyelashes in the mirror every single day because of how awesome they look. Also, it is very long-wearing. I go from an eight-hour workday right to the gym and sweat like wild...and this stuff doesn’t budge! I love it!!" —Carrie E Weikert

All cups are organized and easy to get to. They stay right where they should be. No more stacking them inside one another and them falling over when I opened the cabinet. I also use these for some bowls in my dish set. Works great. I just ordered a couple more, and I am going to use them for my china cabinet. I wondered when I first bought them because the price was a little high. Worth every penny and more. I can not say enough good about these." —ChefGirl

In case you're wondering — no, the volcanic roller doesn't mess up your makeup. And once you've given your face a quick touch-up, just twist off the top of the roller to release the stone and give it a wash before your next use.

Promising review: "This rolling device is like pure magic. You simply roll it around your oily areas and BOOM the oil magically vanishes into the ball never to be seen again! This is an item that #tiktokmademebuy for sure! I saw a video on TikTok and immediately went on the hunt only to be disappointed that this item was sold out everywhere! I eventually got added to a waiting list here on Amazon and once they had it in stock again, they charged my card and sent it my way! If you have the chance to purchase this and you have oily skin, get yourself on the waiting list if you need to and just kick it until it shows up. You will be pleased. Promising review: "This stuff is amazing! I saw this as a beauty recommendation on BuzzFeed as a dupe for Olaplex (which I had tried and wasn't blown away by) so I thought I would give it a try — and I'm so thankful I did! My bleached and heat-damaged hair feels so soft, is more manageable, and looks healthier after each use. I agree with other reviewers that it seems like a big price tag for the size of the bottle, but a little bit does go a long way and it is so worth it. I wish it came in a larger size bottle so I didn't have to reorder so quickly." —Carly S. Whitson

    11. A Bluetooth-enabled eye mask so you can listen to white noise or the sweet, sweet sound of Cillian Murphy telling a "Sleep Story" — in his trademark Cork brogue — on the Calm app (highly suggest).

A reviewer wearing the sleep mask
A different reviewer holding the mask so you can see the contoured eye padding

After a bout of pandemic-induced insomnia I picked up one of these USB-chargeable masks and can honestly say it was LIFE changing. If you're sensitive to light or sound, this mask is where it's at. The contoured, cool-to-the-touch eye pads are super cozy and extra padding on the bridge of the nose ensures no light seeps in. I was concerned about feeling the headphones through the mask and not being able to sleep in my usual position (mountain climber, the hands down comfiest position), but they really are unnoticeable. I can sleep through the night with it on and the Velcro straps have never once gotten stuck in my hair.

Promising review: "Currently I share a room with someone who HAS to sleep with the TV on — not sure if it’s for a night light or what, but it bugs me. They also sleep with it at an annoying volume. This means my dreams are interrupted by 4 a.m. music or commercials and it messes up my already messed up sleep cycle. Being over the constant arguing and back and forth about it, I bought this and I LOVE IT!! The charge is great, they are super comfortable, and they fit comfortably over my head wrap that keeps my braids neat at night. If I play white noise or a sleep playlist, I fall asleep and don’t wake up a bunch in the middle of the night. It also helps with cutting down my nighttime phone boredom use. With the controls right on your forehead I don’t need to pick my phone back up to adjust the volume. It drowns out the TV enough that I can stay asleep with out having my dreams hijacked by infomercials but low enough that I can hear if my kids need me! Also no longer hear them snore or grind their teeth!!" —Rhayvn

Promising review: "I was skeptical but ordered this product due to having trouble cleaning the microwave. I used vinegar, water, and a little splash of lemon juice. I put her in the microwave for eight minutes on high. Then I let her sit in there for two minutes. I used a rag and poured some of the leftover liquid on it to clean the residue. My microwave has not been this clean since the day I moved into my home!!! Worth every cent!" —Melyn Smith

Promising review: "I was a little skeptical this could actually work. I bought it because I was going to be in a wedding, and the makeup artist had to back out, so we all needed to do our own makeup! None of us are girls who are great at doing makeup. However, we wanted to try our best and gave this a shot to help glam up a little. We tested the stamping on our hands first to get the idea of pressure needed and after that, it was ridiculously easy to use. I'm a huge fan of it now, and one of the other girls plans to buy one for her own collection. It's super easy. However, it's not super water resistant, so don't cry but it was smudge and sweat resistant. I applied it at like 10 a.m. and lasted until I took my makeup off post-wedding at like 1 a.m. Love this product!" —Kindle Customer

It even includes 1 Hour Express Strips that give you same-day results if you need a little last-minute whitening!

Promising review: "Great product! I was skeptical at first, because any OTC teeth-whitening product I’ve ever used never worked for me. Only professional dental bleaching has. I tried this and saw a difference after the fifth treatment. I did like that you can use it every day until you’re done with all 14 treatments. That way you can see results a lot faster. I’ll be repurchasing this regularly now (every six months like it says) to always have a nice white smile." —Danny

    18. And — while we're on the topic of dental hygiene — a "flossing toothbrush" with two layers of bristles. One layer being regular firm ones, and the other being longer ones that are ten times thinner and mimic floss as they get between your teeth but are gentle on your gums.

A toothbrush with two layers of bristles, one long and thin and one shorter and thicker
    Emma Lord/BuzzFeed

Mouthwatchers is a small business established by Ronald Plotka, DDS, that specializes in antimicrobial toothbrushes designed to get deeper cleans even patients with "great" dental hygiene might miss with traditional brush and floss routines.

Promising review: "I've been using Dr. Plotka's toothbrushes for awhile now, and I can't emphasize enough how good these are. I'm 55 years old, so I've used a brand or two in my day. These, hands down, are the best I've ever used. The bristles are very thin so you are actually flossing as you brush. Because the bristles are as thin as they are, I just assumed they'd wear out super fast, but I was wrong, it's surprisingly durable. I was skeptical buying this toothbrush after reading through some of the comments that said that the bristles were sharp and painful on the gums. However, the statement 'naturally eliminates 99.9% of bacteria' hooked me, and I'm glad I took a chance. I've never been one that liked soft bristle toothbrushes because I just never felt like it was enough. The bristles are soft — but with a punch. I'm having to use less effort getting my teeth clean because the thin bristles get right in between my teeth. I definitely highly recommend this product."Lisa Stepanski

First, I walked outside in thick grass, and the wedding photos were taken in a mushy grassy area. I didn't sink even a little bit. It was fantastic. My heels were fabulous. I then decided to leave them on for the rest of the night since they made my heels more stable and comfortable. So glad I tried them. My BuzzFeed shopping colleague Jasmin Sandal has this and loves it. She says:

"I didn't realize I'd ever use a makeup product in my 20s that had the ability to transport me back to something I used in sixth grade, but here we are; and here I am using a multitool pen... for my face. I gotta say, I love the concept of the Pen Pal from Alleyoop! After using all of the functions (eyeliner, highlighter, lip liner, eyebrow pencil) and as someone who LOVES makeup but was applying as little as humanly possible during lockdown, I think it’s a great tool for anyone looking to streamline their routine. It's ideal to use for touch-ups come the end of the work day, or a subtle, minimalist way to apply makeup in the a.m. The brow pencil is particularly soft and pigmented, and filled in my eyebrows quickly. I just adore the ease of application of each product, and appreciate the universal, does-it-all-for-you concept. Plus, it saves me so much room in my already overflowing makeup bag!"

Promising review: "Such a time saver to have this 4-in-1 tool! I use it daily and love that it is so compact." —Lauren F.

    30. A pair of LED light saber chopsticks sure to inspire a lil' food fight. Though I'm talking a fake one, of course, because sushi is too expensive for you to be throwing anywhere other than down your gullet.

You can even mark the date you opened it on the top of the stopper!

BuzzFeed editor Maitland Quitmeyer has firsthand experience saving her bubbly. In her own words:

"I love bubbles — champs, cava, prosecco, sparkling rosé — they just know how to bring the party! But no one likes when sparkling wine goes flat, or you feel like you can't just have one or two glasses without ruining the whole bottle. So I went on Amazon and found the best champagne stopper I could find and immediately hit 'add to cart.' What a great purchase! This little bb is so easy to use — just pop it on top of the bottle, push the metal sides in so it clamps on, then push the top button several times to vacuum seal and preserve the bubs. Then when you next want a glass, spritz, or mimosa, you'll hear that same *POP* you heard when first taking out the cork — and the effervescence you so crave will be fully intact. Plus, you can confidently store your leftover bottle on its side in your fridge; I've had zero leakage problems with this thus far!"

    34. A set of reusable silicone straws that unfurl for easy cleaning so you don't have to run them under water and just hope for the best. (In my experience that's a surefire way to suck up some leftover soap...)

Promising review: "I never thought I’d be writing a review for straws, but here we are. These are FANTASTIC. I try to be as eco-friendly as possible but was ready to give up. I’ve tried metal straws, but they are tough to clean and I don’t love metal against my teeth. I’ve tried other reusable plastic and silicone options but they don’t work for thicker drinks like smoothies. These actually address all of my issues. I’ve used them for thick smoothies, that I drink daily, and just for other everyday drinks like water. They couldn’t be easier to snap open and clean, dry, then easily snap back into shape to use again." —M. Alexandria

Promising review: "These fish contain silver in a compound that dissolves slowly. Silver is bacteriostatic, it will not clean up a mess but it will seriously help prevent one unless your water source is not reasonably clean. Affluent Romans kept their water and wine in silver flasks for the same reason." —Robert Ezerman
