BuzzFeed will kick off Pride Month this Friday, June 1 with BuzzFeed Queer Prom to honor every student’s right to experience this joyous rite of passage. LGBTQ artists Starley (“Call on Me”) and Mary Lambert (“Same Love,” “She Keeps Me Warm”) will join the celebration with special performances.
LGBTQ students from across the country submitted their stories, and five teens will fly to New York as the official BuzzFeed Queer Prom Court. The Court will arrive in New York City, get prom makeovers, take part in the official “Prom Kween” crowning ceremony, and dance the night away, while starring in BuzzFeed’s three-episode video series.
