    1. First off: the year 2000 is basically 20 years ago.

    Well, OK, in less than a year the '00s will start becoming 20 years away.

    2. And 2019 is to 1986 as 1986 is to 1953.


    3. Also, while we're at it, 1996 is closer to Nixon resigning than today.

    Nixon's resignation had happened 22 years earlier in 1974. We're now 23 years removed from 1996.

    4. Both Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson are in their forties.


    5. This year will mark the 10th wedding anniversary of The Office's Pam and Jim...


    6. ...and it'll be the 20th wedding anniversary of Boy Meets World's Cory and Topanga.

    7. And, by the way, Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris) is now older than Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) was when Saved by the Bell premiered.


    Dennis was just shy of 39 when the show premiered in 1989 (yup, it's turning 30 years old this year!), while Mark-Paul is 44 years old today.

    Yup, it existed before they were born. It was released in June of 1999.
