Emilia Clarke Revealed Who The "Game Of Thrones" Coffee Cup Actually Belonged To

After months of being blamed for the coffee cup fail, the actual culprit apparently confessed at a pre-Emmys party!

After months of taking the blame for a misplaced coffee cup that somehow slipped under the radar and made it into a Game of Thrones scene, Emilia Clarke has finally found out who the REAL culprit was.

If you cast your minds back, you'll probably remember the chaos when, during the eighth and final season of the HBO show, fans noticed something that definitely isn't served in the fictional world of Westeros.

Yep, next to Daenerys was a Starbucks-looking coffee cup.

At the time, HBO joked about the blunder. The "mistake" was rectified quickly, with the coffee being digitally removed from the scene.

News from Winterfell. The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. #Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.

But who was to blame?! Well, considering the cup appeared to be in front of Emilia, it looked like the case was pretty straight-forward. Alas, things weren't so simple...

Following the drama, Emilia posted a picture on Instagram, appearing to jokingly deny that the coffee cup was anything to do with her.

And then fans unearthed a behind-the-scenes picture which saw Sophie Turner holding a cup that looked eerily similar.

But she quickly passed the blame back to Emilia, hilariously saying in an interview: "We all have the same cups for all of our water and tea and everything, so I'm going to just go with— I mean, look who it's placed in front of."

But now, several months after all the drama, Emilia finally got to the bottom of the mystery after the culprit apparently confessed!

"We had a party before the Emmys recently," Emilia revealed to Jimmy Fallon. "And Conleth, who plays Varys, who's sitting next to me in that scene, he pulls me aside."

And what did Varys have to say? It was only a confession!

Just to add insult to injury, Conleth apparently even added that he didn't want to say anything at the time because the heat was already on Emilia!
