The Final "Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker" Trailer Is Here And, I Cannot Stress This Enough, It's Perfect

"Confronting fear...it's the destiny of a Jedi."

While we received our first look at the film back in April when BuzzFeed attended Star Wars Celebration, and then another sneak peek at Disney's D23 Expo in August, this is really the moment everyone has been waiting for!

So, now that the FINAL trailer is officially HERE...let's break it down:

The trailer opens with a shot of my wife*, Rey, running through a forest-looking planet, doing all kinds of wild and crazy jumps.

Then we see a few gorgeous glimpses of our favorite Resistance members — including Rose, Finn, and Poe — putting together what looks like QUITE the rebel army.

Then we see Rey atop a watery ship, lightsaber in hand, ready to battle the soaking-wet Kylo I-Insist-On-Doing-The-Absolute-Most-All-Of-The-Time Ren.

And we also have this shot of a bunch of TIE fighters headed towards some undisclosed icy location:

And, don't worry, we're also gifted some more Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine voiceovers (still no visuals of him, though). But, great news, the man sounds just as sinister as ever.

Next up is a big ol' fleet of ships coming to aid the Resistance, but...wait...is that...to the right of the Falcon...THE GHOST FROM STAR WARS REBELS?!

Because it sure as heck looks like The Ghost from Star Wars Rebels?!

And then there's this shot, which was created for the sole purpose of making me an emotional wreck:

Which is followed by this line, which was written for the sole purpose of making me an emotional wreck:

Then there's just a whole bunch of random flashes of action and adventure, some of it involving these space ponies:

And, mixed in with that action, we get a little somethin', somethin' for the Reylo fans out there. WHAT are they destroying? Besides my hopes and dreams for a Reylo-less future...also Kylo's got his mask back and Rey seems to be gripping a dagger in her non-lightsaber hand. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!

The entire trailer culminates in this stunning final shot of Rey, while the voices of our beloved Skywalker twins, Luke and Leia, assure her of what we all already know:

Also, as if literally ALL OF THAT wasn't enough to get you hyped out of your mind for this movie, it's already broken pre-sale ticket records, including sales for this year's very own Avengers: Endgame.
