The warm (and somewhat sweaty) embrace of summer is here, which means some absolutely incredible movies are coming to theaters and premiering on streaming! With that in mind, we rounded up 38 films premiering in summer 2023 (aka May 2023 through August 2023) that you're not going to want to miss! Ready? I sure hope so! Here we go:

1. Hypnotic

Robert Rodriguez's new action-thriller sees a hardened detective forced to team up with a psychic in order to track down his missing daughter.

2. Knights of the Zodiac

Based on the manga Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada, this action-packed fantasy follows an orphan as he taps into his powers and embraces his destiny to protect a reincarnated goddess sent to Earth.

3. Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me

Netflix's new documentary paints a humanizing portrait of Vickie Lynn Hogan — better known to the public as Anna Nicole Smith — documenting her rise to fame as well as her tragic death.

4. Fast X

5. White Men Can't Jump

A remake of the 1992 classic, the film sees two seemingly opposite boys use their basketball skills to hustle for extra cash and, over time, discover they're not exactly the "opposites" they imagined they were.

9. The Wrath of Becky

An adaptation of one of Stephen King's short stories, this spooky tale sees two young sisters recovering from the death of their mother, when they are suddenly confronted with a terrifying entity.

12. Flamin’ Hot

Based on the memoir A Boy, a Burrito and a Cookie: From Janitor to Executive by Richard Montañez, this movie follows Montañez — who was a janitor for Frito-Lay — as he claims to have invented Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

13. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

They're alien car-things that turn into big robots! And fight! That's about it! Also, more importantly — when I was little — I thought the theme song said "Transformers: Robots in the Skies" rather than "Transformers: Robots in Disguise," so imagine my fear as a toddler that giant robots were just going to fall on me from the ether!

A comedy-horror that seeks to interrogate horror tropes, this film follows an all-Black group of friends staying in a cabin in the woods as they're stalked by a killer.

Christopher Nolan's newest film — which I've been referring to as "Not Barbie" — documents the life of Robert Oppenheimer, the man credited as "The Father of the Atomic Bomb" (which is a sick nickname, TBH. Sounds like the title of a Fall Out Boy song).

An adaptation of "The Captain's Log" chapter from Bram Stoker's Dracula, this supernatural horror follows the doomed crew of a ship being stalked by a certain infamous vampire (hint: it's Dracula, I literally just told you that).

36. Gran Turismo
