"Insecure" Is Ending With Its Fifth Season And Here's What We Know So Far
"We always planned to tell this story through five seasons."
So it's official, the critically acclaimed series Insecure is coming to an end.

HBO
Today, series creator and star Issa Rae announced that the show would return for its fifth and last season.
Very excited to film our fifth and final season! We couldn’t have told a complete story without the tremendous support of our audience and the faith of @HBO. See y'all soon! #InsecureHBO https://t.co/3gsoDwSGDR
This comes after a shocking Season 4 cliffhanger where it was revealed that Condola is pregnant with Lawrence's child.

HBO
Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales, and Alexander Hodge are all returning for this season, and I can't wait to see how they wrap up all their characters' storylines.

HBO
Yvonne Orji tweeted that they're "going out with a bang," which seems to be in true Insecure fashion.
We going out with a bang y’all... thanks for rocking with us!! https://t.co/kCZTF1KMNC
In a statement about the final season, Issa Rae said, “We always planned to tell this story through five seasons, but we couldn’t have made it this far without the tremendous support of our audience.”

HBO
She also said, "Prentice (producer) and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning and kept faith in us to see our vision through the end."

HBO
We have quite a bit of time to kill until Season 5, since it is expected to go into production later this month and then air later this year.

HBO
And it's all so bittersweet because, while I'm excited to know how these characters' stories conclude, I'm going to miss all of the drama, humor, and conversations the show always provoked.
