Promising review (for the leggings): "I already have one pair of these and had to get a second. These are my favorite leggings. I use them for everything — hiking, running, camping, groceries, etc. They are too warm for the gym, but I use them for everything else!" —Phoebe

Promising review: "I love my shorts so much that I purchased a second and third pair. They are great for my summer walking group. This particular short has pockets for cell phone, keys, or money. I also wear them for spin/circuit-training classes. All the styles I bought have the tummy-control panel and fit high on the waist...PERFECT!!! I totally recommend trying these. I looked in stores all over my area, and couldn't find what I wanted, but I found them on Amazon." —jme

BuzzFeed Shopping editor Emma Lord loves these shorts. She says: "I recently bought these shorts because I needed some more breathable summer options, and they're phenom! I love the huge range of colors you can buy these in (at other places they often sell out too quickly to get to pick!), love that the high-waistedness of them meets about where my running crop top ends so I don't have to get bonkers with sunscreen, and love love loooooove the side pocket for my keys or face mask. I only have them in purple so far, but I'm excited to try other colors!"

Promising review: "I love this shirt. I've been taking fitness more seriously the last few months and finally got around to replacing all of my old activewear. It's just loose enough that I don't have to adjust it while I'm working out and also provides nice cleavage coverage. It's extremely soft and has good-sized arm holes. The navy color is deep and beautiful." —Edith Harmony

Girlfriend Collective is a favorite on our team — I actually have three pairs of these leggings and love them so much. They are compressive without making my legs feel like sausages and stay in place during my most intense workouts. I've been recommending them to all my friends because they leggings (and the company behind them) are great.
BuzzFeed editor Melanie Aman says: "Right off the bat, I was impressed by how buttery soft these leggings were. They're super stretchy (definitely squat-proof!) and supportive without being constricting. And at $68, they're a total steal given how high-quality they are. I usually wear them for low-impact workouts, like Pilates and yoga (and lounging on the couch), but they didn't let me down during high-impact HIIT cardio classes either. The material is really breathable so even though I'm sweating a lot during my workouts, the leggings don't get swampy."

I recently ordered this top to see what the hype was all about, and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The top is so comfortable and hits right where my high-waisted leggings end, which means there's no extra fabric around my waist. The top is great for low-impact workouts — but I also love to wear it every day because it eliminates the need to wear a sports bra and a tank top, so it's perfect to layer under sweatshirts and even sweaters.
Promising review: "This top is so cute and comfortable! It works best for yoga and low-intensity workouts, but I have worn it during high-intensity workouts, and it stays put (I do have a smaller chest). Also, it is great quality and very soft." —Emily Mahn

BuzzFeed editor Elizabeth Lilly says: This was me hiking last summer in Santorini posing for a photo op. It felt like a looong hike (I don't hike often, OK?). Despite POURING In sweat and walking up pretty steep inclines, my leggings did not bunch or roll. I've worn them what I guess is 50+ times since both for running errands in my hood and for actual workouts. They're super comfy, wash well (I send them out for wash and fold laundry service, which can be rough on clothes), are seamless all over, and flatten the look of my stomach (if that's a concern) without making me feeling like I'm in a sausage casing. They're my nicest pair of leggings and honestly, I could wear them almost every day in quarantine. And if anyone is wondering, I bought an Oreo ice cream sandwich and wine at the end of that picturesque hike."
Get them from Spanx for $78 (available in sizes XS–3X).
Promising review: "This jacket has built-in mittens! Don't believe me, check my photo. Often when I go for a run I think, 'no, it's too warm for gloves.' Then a mile in my hands are ice, literal ice. I have two Under Armour tops with these kinds of built-in mittens and I LOVE them. I would like this jacket even if it didn't have the awesome built-in mittens. Finally, a zip-up workout jacket that fits, without paying $90. Built-in mitts forever!" —NN Dye

Promising review: "I love these shirts! I've been looking for a good workout shirt that doesn't cling around the middle. Not only did this one fit the bill, but it's also about two inches longer than the Champion shirts that I bought for more money. They are incredibly comfortable to work out in but also just look like a regular nonathletic shirt. I don't have any problem wearing them out of the gym and feeling like I have normal street clothes on. And this is much more comfortable than normal street clothes!! I highly recommend!" —Mom-of-Two

Promising review: "I love this so much. It's hands down the best sports bra I’ve ever owned. It runs a tiny bit small, so I sized up one size, and it is still so supportive. It’s so flattering with the long line. That’s actually long and not just an extra-wide strap. I’m ordering more as soon as more colors are available." —Jenna May

BuzzFeed Shopping writer Ali Faccenda loves these leggings. She says: "I've seen crossover style leggings all over my For You Page on TikTok and they look so CUTE on everyone who wears them. These mayyyyy just be my new fave leggings. They're high-waisted (legit the only kind I like) and have pockets on both sides which is perfect if I'm taking my dogs for a walk or running an errand and want to keep my phone on me at all times. I love where these hit me on my waist and honestly, these make me want to throw all my old leggings in the trash. If you're in the market for new leggings, I HIGHLY recommend you give these a whirl."

BuzzFeed editor Emma Lord says: These shorts come in a bazillion rotating colors because they sell out so quickly you might blink and miss them. I own a pair in pink (that is me being v cheeky above) and can confirm that they are so comfortable that I genuinely had to look down and make sure I wasn't naked a few times, but still opaque enough to venture out into the world without worrying about everyone seeing your booty. I probably own 10 pairs of bike shorts now (don't look at me), and these are the comfiest by far."
Get them from Free People for $20 (available in women's sizes XS–L and 28 colors and patterns).
Promising review: "This is a quality workout top for the price. I bought five of them. They're very thin but not see through and keep me cool. Definitely the most comfortable workout tops I've owned. The fit in the chest and waist are perfect for me. I look great in them! I would definitely recommend them. I think they would also be good for swimming, but I haven't tried wearing them for that yet." —emily

BuzzFeed Shopping editor Genevieve Scarano loves this bra. She says: "I have this sports bra and I've worn it countless times for low impact activities (see me wearing it above during an indoor yoga session). Even though it doesn't have full padding, it *still* provides great support during my workouts. It doesn't cut into my shoulders or feel too tight on my chest while I switch poses. It's also made with sustainable materials, which is definitely a plus when it comes to activewear."

Promising review: "I love these leggings!! I’m a personal trainer, and I wear leggings all day, every day, so I’ve gotten to the point where I’m super picky about them. I ordered a pair after admiring these on a coworker — and learning of the very affordable price! I loved them so much that I went back for three more pairs. They are sooooo comfortable, excellent quality for the price, and definitely squat-proof (not see-through!). But my favorite thing is the magical little scrunch at the bum that actually gives my tiny, ectomorph bum the roundness and pop that I have been working towards! When I wear them, I just want to stare at my own butt because I can’t believe how good it looks! I think the four pairs I have right now are not enough so I’m gonna have to get some more colors. I LOVE THESE LEGGINGS 🍑🔥🍑🔥🍑🔥" —Jill Hill

Reviewers say the shirt runs small and suggest ordering a size up.
Promising review: "We just got back from a vacation in Utah where we hiked nonstop for a week. I have never worn a long-sleeved shirt to hike in when it is warm, but this one was fantastic. Even though I packed other shirts, I kept washing this shirt in the sink, hanging it up to let it air-dry, and wearing it the next day. Unfortunately, all my pictures look like I only have one outfit, so I intend to order a couple more in different colors. It's much better than having to use sunscreen all day long." —callie2

Promising review: "I am obsessed with these leggings. I have four pairs, and I practically live in them. I panic when I am down to my last pair and immediately go do laundry! They are so so comfortable and stretchy without being see-through. I am going to buy the capri version as well." —Jennifer T

Promising review: "I run half marathons and have DDD boobs and a small frame. I was getting crazy burn marks from other sports bras with underwire. This is amazing. For me, it fits around the ribs (I got the 32E) and the bra band stays in place, doesn't move, really holds my breasts down, and fits comfortably. Everyone that sees it thinks it's such a cute design and the back is cute too. I have one in pink and black. I just bought the one in blue tonight. You also can't beat this price. Highly recommend this sports bra! They're all I wear to workout (I do HIIT, yoga, boot camp type activities, and train/run half-marathons)." —jacquelyn Keeley

I also own this dress, and I have to agree with everything Rachel says about it. I've worn it a few times to play tennis, and the bodysuit with shorts underneath make it super easy to hold extra balls. It is a bit of a hassle to go to the bathroom — but it's worth it for how cute and comfortable this number is.
BuzzFeed editor Rachel Dunkel says: "I wore the exercise dress on a camping trip and absolutely loved it. It's tight enough that you feel agile but not SO tight that it's restricting. It was great for hiking, too! I even scaled some big ole' rocks and exposed mountain faces, and it fared really well. Despite me literally sliding down a giant rock on my butt, the dress never got caught, ripped, or showed wear. It's a trooper."
Get it from Outdoor Voices for $100 (available in sizes XXS–XL and seven colors and patterns).
Promising review: I usually wear full-length leggings and this time I decided to try cropped ones. I really like the color of these leggings and how they fit! I highly recommend them!" —Iriskaamerica

This track jacket is basically the only jacket I've been wearing this summer and early fall. It is lightweight, but it keeps me comfortable. I like to wear it when I go for walks outside, in case it starts to rain out of nowhere (it has happened before) because it is water-resistant. Plus, if I get too hot outside, I usually just tie it around my waist. But it also could easily be packed into a small bag. If I hiked, I would say that it would be good for that too — but that's only an assumption because I am not a hiker. I also do enjoy just wearing it around the house to keep me the perfect temperature while WFH. The color is also ah-mazing, and I love that it's sustainable and made from recycled materials.
Get it from Girlfriend Collective for $128 (available in women's sizes XXS–6X and in four colors).
Promising review: "These are so cute and comfy! I wear them to lounge around the house and workout. They are not see-through, and they have held up nicely through the wash. I usually wear a small, but I went up a size just in case. I would recommend it going up a size, as they fit perfectly in length and around the waist, but aren’t super tight in the legs. If I had ordered my normal size, they would’ve fit like leggings. Great price for great pants!" —Lexi Sandgren
Get them from Amazon for $28.99+ (available in sizes XS–XL and in 13 colors and patterns).
Promising review: "I love these! I am definitely not a crop top type of girl, but I decided to try these out for the gym since I like something that doesn’t move too much when I run or lift. BuzzFeed Shopping writer Jasmin Sandal loves these leggings. She says: "Sound the alarms, people, because I think I've found my dream pair of athleisure. Here's the rundown: these high-waisted leggings (or as they call them on their site: tights) are incredibly deceiving when they first arrive — they appeared to be quite shrunken in the package — but trust me, these mold to your body and have enough stretch that works great for curves. I was sent a sample and am just truly in love with the compression! Since quarantine began, I've been after a cute pair of leggings that would support me and have the ability to be worn for multiple activities. And folks, these are IT. I'm also a sucker for a matching set — grab the seamless crop top here!"

Promising review: "OMG, this is the BEST workout top EVER! I'm really busty (38DD) and have always struggled to find sports bras that really hold the girls down but won't come undone (like the zip-up ones). It hugs you tight on top and is supportive enough that you feel secure, and is loose at the bottom, so it's not tight around your midsection. Size up if you're busty like me! I normally wear a L but decided to buy an XL due to others' advice and it fits perfectly. I'm going to buy more, I love it so much!" —Brittany
Get it from Amazon for $21.19+ (available in sizes S–XXL and in 18 colors and patterns).
I own this set, and it's currently one of my favorites. The pattern is ah-mazing. Just loud and fun enough to wear all the time without feeling like I'm being "too extra" while I workout. The leggings have a bit of compression to them, and the bra holds me in pretty well. I feel like a superstar when I put on this set. Yes, it's a bit of a splurge, but I def think the quality of the pieces makes it worth it. I can see myself wearing this for a long time.
Get the set from Terez: $65 (for the bra; available in sizes XS–XL) and $100 (for the leggings; available in sizes XXS–XL).
