    Because of certain health risks in my family history I have to limit sodium intake. So a friend mentioned trying kelp flakes. I add it to fish, stews, and noodle dishes. Delicious, salty flavor with waaay less sodium. And bonus, in the winter we can be depleted of certain nutrients…

    Smoothies are the lazy person’s gift from the gods. I buy fruit and veggies from the freezer section, dump them in my blender with almond milk, and voila! Easy, fast, healthy. Get all my veggie servings first thing.

    I buy pantry items such as organic beans, rice and vegetable broth from the discount store Aldi, then I buy organic local dairy and veggies from farmers at the market (it's much cheaper than the chain grocers). I also cut back to eating meat 2 times a week which saves us a ton and…
