23 Struggles Every Twentysomething Knows To Be True

OMG, I WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL WITH HIM! ~hides in a corner~

We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us the hardest part about being a twentysomething. Here are the brilliant results.

    1. You're totally shocked when you see someone your own age married with children.

    2. You get gruesome hangovers after drinking only one glass of wine.

    3. You're forced to budget your money now that you're considered an "adult."

    4. Hearing the words "Are you done with college yet?" is like hearing nails on a chalkboard.

    5. Your friends drag you out to the clubs on the weekends, but you'd rather stay in and avoid all human interaction.

    6. Dating is hard because you don't always have the time to meet single people.

    7. Landing your dream job after graduating from college is pretty damn hard.

    8. You go to the grocery store to buy food for an actual meal, but you end up leaving with snacks and candy instead.

    9. Your parents assume you're in desperate need of help just because you're single.

    10. The embarrassment and rage you feel when someone calls you "ma'am" or "sir."

    11. You're judged for spending your entire Sunday watching Netflix, when really you're just living your best life.

    12. You're forced to be responsible and can't live carelessly like a teenager anymore.

    13. This means you're forced to talk to people on the phone and have "mature" conversations.

    14. Paying off your student loans basically runs your entire life.

    15. You're tired of people asking about your plans for the future.

    16. You might find yourself stuck living at home after graduation.

    17. You're irrationally angry at teens just because they're teens.

    18. You slowly become your mother's clone, and it's unavoidable.

    19. Going home for the holidays is the worst because you run into old high school classmates.

    20. You're constantly choosing between paying for drinks at happy hour and paying for a well-balanced meal.

    21. Your parents are upset when you choose to spend your money traveling the world instead of saving it for an apartment.

    22. It's hard to learn that your favorite shows about living in your twenties gave you unrealistic expectations.

    23. But you don't let that get you down because you're happy doing things you're truly passionate about.
