I once ran into seat reclining drama… I threw out my back the morning of the six hour flight and to relieve pain, that little bit of a recline would have helped a great deal. But, when I went to recline, the guy passive aggressively kept preventing me and I was near tears because my back hurt so bad. The guy eventually was like, you’ve got a big guy behind you (he really wasn’t very big, maybe slightly above average). Well… great. I didn’t want to cause conflict, so I just sat there the whole six hours in pain and just mad about the whole thing. The guy was reclined in his own seat, of course. Just because you’ve got long legs, doesn’t mean the person in front of you is problem free and should bow down to your request. It’s not exactly fair that someone else has no choice but to sit in front of a tall person when others can recline no problem. I understand a short flight, but not a long one. HUGE pet peeve. If the seat reclines, I should be allowed to recline. I don’t care at all if someone in front of me reclines. I think they need two separate kinds of seating.
