Thanks for writing this. I've had anxiety for much of my life as well. I had shingles at age 26. It's amazing the toll mental illness and stress can take on the body.

Yep. I live in the south now, but recently had this interaction with a customer at work. Lady: I'm actually visiting from New York. Me: Oh cool, I'm originally from New York. Lady: Whereabouts? Me: Albany Lady: Ohhhh. New York State. Me: Yeah. New York. It's annoying.

I've broken 5 bones in my lifetime, all varying levels of pain. The worst was my ankle, it was a displaced fracture that I ultimately had to have surgery on to repair. I remember being in shock after. The easiest was my pinky toe, I laughed when it happened.

Betty McRae from Bomb Girls. I found her to be so inspiring, I have a picture of her in my bedroom to remind me that my struggle is not unique, that I'm not alone in the world and to be brave.
