I think I should get a few extra points for having read Don Quixote and One Hundred Years of Solitude in Spanish, which is not my native language. Those are each worth at least 3 books I think.

I think #18 is why the turnstiles for DC's metro have only one direction. You can only use the ones with the green arrow. They change depending on the time of day, I think, but you don't have people trying to go through in opposite directions at the same time.
