    1. A pair of suede moc-style slippers that'll keep their toes warm and look stylish to boot. You can also get them monogrammed for a personalized touch.

    Land's End

These slippers have a real suede upper and a plush faux-fur lining. The rubber outsole works for both inside and outside.

Promising review: "The monogram slippers are a great value and comfortable to wear. I wore mine on a very long flight from Taipei to Houston and received numerous compliments on them." —Dewberry

    2. A ship-in-a-bottle Lego set both kids and adults are ~shore~ to love. Plus, it'll make a striking piece of decor once it's completed.

Promising review: "This is part of the Lego Ideas line — user submitted builds that Lego will consider selling if enough people vote for it. I was very happy to see this one recently make it to the marketplace and had to get it. It is really an unusual set and looks great on display. The ship itself is rather small for a set of this price, but of course, the real point is the look with the stand and bottle — which is every bit as awesome as you would expect. My pre-teen and teen Lego fans in our family all give this one high marks!" —TOPJOB7

Get it from Amazon for $69.99.

    3. An Instant Pot because once you've experienced the delight of using it, you've just gotta spread the joy.

It's a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, sauté pan, yogurt maker, and food warmer all rolled into one nifty appliance. Check out a BuzzFeeder's review of the Instant Pot!

Promising review: "I have owned my Duo for over a year now, and I have used it at least five times each week. For cooking pasta, it’s a 'set it and forget it' appliance. Dump in pasta, sauce, meatballs, and water. Set the time and go off to fold laundry, pack lunches, or whatever else needs to get done before bed. No more standing over the stove or stirring. Roasts come out great, with potatoes soaking in all the amazing juices at the same time. Cheesecakes are easier than ever. The best part is that there’s no cleanup and no hot kitchen, like cooking with an oven. The stainless steel liner just goes straight into the dishwasher, saving busy families even more precious time. I have since added another Instant Pot to my collection and purchased five as gifts for family and friends." —Elissa Spicer

Get it from Amazon for $59.95+ (available in three sizes).

    4. A reversible teddy coat they'll cuddle in all day long because it's basically a wearable blanket.

    Urban Outfitters

Promising review: "You can literally wear this coat anywhere with any outfit! It really is a wearable, fashionable blanket that you can dress up or down. You stay cozy while looking cute! This is the best quality teddy coat I’ve tried. You neeeeed!" —hannahuo

Get it from Urban Outfitters for $79 (available in sizes XS/S–M/L and five color combos).

    5. A box set containing illustrated editions of the first three Harry Potter books (we're talking large, full-color pages) can have both wizards and muggles spellbound.

Promising review: "Great big heavy hardcovers with nice strong bindings and beautiful full-color illustrations everywhere you care to look. I'm SO glad to have the first three books in a beautiful boxed set like this! My 5-year-old granddaughter and I are gearing up to listen to the first book via Audible, and we plan to follow along with these. It's nice to see such care to the design and production of a quality hardcover gift set. I don't care how many versions of Harry Potter you own. You want/need this one, too." —Reviewer

Get it from Amazon for $62.70.

    6. A luxurious cashmere stole literally anyone would love to receive.

This stole is made of 100% cashmere.

Promising review: "Pretty good quality cashmere, especially for the price. I also liked the size — it is big enough to be used as a scarf or a stole without being too bulky." —ES

Get it from Uniqlo for $49.90 (available in 18 colors).

    7. An attractive cat tower ~purrrfect~ for entertaining your furry friend (who, despite clawing your couch to shreds, still deserves a treat). Plus, it folds away for storage.

Promising review: "This was a Christmas gift for our cat. He really had no cat tree because they’re ugly; just a cube with a scratcher and two play balls. I saw that he used the scratch pad (yay) made of jute or sisal. Hopefully, that will keep him from scratching the new couches. Also, it is a tall stand, so he spends a lot of time on it. I am just very happy he is using it. The light gray color goes well with our decor. Best of all, it folds up. Space saver." —NicoyitaMSN

Get it from Amazon for $35.99.

    8. A trio of Glossier serums so they can say, "Dryness, dullness, and breakouts, begone!"

Promising review: "I love this pack because it's so helpful in allowing me to self-diagnose what my skin needs and adjust it based on how it might feel that day. The labeling of the serums makes this especially easy; a lot of the serums I buy are very general and vague about what they are supposed to do for my skin. The Glossier serums are very specific, which is super helpful for someone like me who doesn't know much about the specifics of skincare; not to mention they all work super well! I use Super Bounce for when I'm feeling dry and tight, Super Glow for when I'm feeling dull and tired, and Super Pure for when I feel like I'm nearing a breakout. I'll definitely be repurchasing when I run out!" —Mich

Get them from Glossier for $65.

    9. A John Freida hot air brush — it'll basically be like gifting them with 365 days of good hair.

One BuzzFeed editor swears by this hot air brush — read her review!

Promising review: "Let's face it. It's near impossible to get a salon blow-out look at home. Your arms get tired and trying to manage a brush and blow dryer is a feat in and of itself. I thought I would give this brush a try — sounded good to me. Well, it's not just good, it's great! I love this brush! I actually like the way my hair turns out with this styler better than what I get at the salon — seriously. I love my hairdresser, and she does a great job, but I have actually had more compliments on my hair when I do it myself with this tool. I will probably get two more to give to my daughters as well — that's how much I love it. I almost purchased another brand online that was closer to a hundred dollars, thinking the more you pay, the better it is. Glad I didn't because this one is great, and you can't beat the price!" —debbie

Get it from Amazon for $29.99+.

    10. A gorgeous eyeshadow palette filled with versatile neutral shades to work for every occasion.

There are 12 matte and micro-shimmer shades in this lovely palette.

    11. A portable photo printer that'll transform any smartphone into an instant camera.

It folds flat so you can easily throw it in your bag.

Promising review: "This is such a good little piece of technology! Such clear pictures and no need to bring a massive Polaroid around as this is perfect!" —Georgina

Get it from Amazon for $30.72+ or Firebox for $51.89 (available in three colors).

    12. A subscription to Rosetta Stone so they can learn a new language (and put it to use on an upcoming trip).

    Rosetta Stone

    Get a 24-month subscription for $5.99/Month.

    13. A ~ghost~ acrylic Squatty Potty with all the same benefits as the regular one but it'll actually add to the aesthetics of a bathroom.

Promising review: "This thing is SLEEK! I bought this for my new home's main floor guest bath. We wanted to provide guests with the convenience of 'squat pot' without the eyesore of the white 7" one. I feel like if Kim and Kanye had a Squatty Potty, it would be this one. I find it's shaped SLIGHTLY different than my white 7" one, and I like that. I also find no squeaking noise as I pull or push it from the basin of the toilet, unlike my white one. My guests didn't notice it was there until I pointed it out. Go with the ghost acrylic, you won't regret it!" —Durga D

Get it from Amazon for $99.99.

    14. A powerful battery pack that can charge two devices at once (including tablets).

It can charge the iPhone 7 almost seven times, the Galaxy S6 five times, or the iPad mini 4 twice.

Promising review: "I've had the PowerCore 20100 for a couple of months now, and I love it! It is a wonderful, portable charger that even inspired my wife to pick up an Anker charger. I've charged both my wife's and my iPhone X simultaneously, was able to get a pretty good charge on an iPad Pro, charged my Apple Watch, and even my Bose QuietComfort headphones (obviously, not all at the same time, there are only two ports). The two ports are very convenient, especially when I have to carry my personal cell phone as well as a cell phone for work." —Joshua N Nichols

Get it from Amazon for $39.99+ (available in three colors).

    15. An elegant decanter to give a bottle of wine some breathing room. The aerated wine can then be served directly from the carafe or poured back into the original bottle — without any leaks!

Promising review: "Excellent product — works well with no leaks while decanting the bottle. There is a huge, very noticeable difference between relatively young wine decanted with this unit and a non-decanted bottle. It's fun to use and very effective. This was a nice recommendation from the proprietor of our local wine bar. Highly recommended." —Glenn Neilson

Get it from Amazon for $49.95.

    16. A classic leather tote bag for the most stylish way to carry their entire life around.

Promising review: "I am thrilled to have found this. I needed a replacement for a very expensive Kate Spade bag that I finally got fed up with for various reasons. This is just what you want in a bag! It's a roomy tote with a top zipper to keep things private (something I needed), and it looks so much more expensive than it is." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $53.99 (available in two styles and seven colors).

    17. A Waterpik water flosser so they can take their oral hygiene to new heights. I know so many people with this on their wish list — practical gifts are underrated!

It has 10 pressure settings, seven water flossing tips, and 90 seconds of water capacity.

Promising review: "I love this product. It makes your mouth feel so clean. After using it for several weeks, I noticed several things: no more bad breath, no more bad taste in my mouth, my gums are much healthier, no more bleeding, and my teeth are less sensitive at the gum line. This is, by far, one of the best buys I've made this year.

This Waterpik has two settings and variable pressure, which is great. The pressure setting goes from very light to heavy pressure on a scale of 1–10. Start out on mild setting and work up to a level of comfort. It has a gum massage setting that is wonderful for sore gums or for a person who grinds their teeth. It's very soothing. There are a variety of tips, such as for plaque or deep pockets, which are worth looking at and buying if they fit your needs.

I highly recommend for folks with a lot of crowns, receding gum lines, pockets, or if you are not great at flossing due to bleeding or teeth so close that it's difficult to floss.

It is a good size so storing it is a problem in my very small bathroom, but I don't care. Other issues — well, there is a learning curve in using it. Everyone I have talked to, who has one, has asked me if I have shot water across the bathroom and the answer is yes. My cat flees the bathroom as soon as I turn on the Waterpik now. So use only warm water until you get the hang of it.

I wholeheartedly recommend this product. I like it so much that I'm buying the portable one for travel, and it's on my Christmas list for family and friends." —JS

Get it from Amazon for $59.99 (available in seven colors).

These are Christmas presents for my kids and I am 100% pleased. I, of course, messed up only four names in, so good thing I had an extra. This means I can use the messed up one as a tester for colors and different pens to see exactly what I want. I have experienced no bleeding of ink at all!!! Anyway, if this is something you are interested in, I highly recommend!!!" —Mel Kass

Promising review: "I love these Faber-Castell Polychromos, I have many kinds of colored pencils, and these are by far the best ones I own. They are so smooth and spread across a piece of paper like butter. They color so well, and it's so much easier to use when you only have to use light pressure to get a beautiful color. The colors are vibrant and bright, and they sharpen very well to a nice point without breaking the tip. I have no complaints about these pencils, they are amazing." —Wilhelm.Bear

    26. A warm and shaggy throw blanket — a universally appreciated gift the whole family will approve of (including pets). This one is big enough for a couple to share so they won't fight over who gets to snuggle in it.

Promising review: "I have a $120 faux-fur throw, and this one is so much better! I was concerned the lining would be rough, but it is super soft. It is luxurious (better than the picture) and so soft and cuddly. It is super thick but not heavy. I accidentally ordered two and am keeping both. Love this product." —K Shopper

You can get 10 hours of play from a single charge.

Promising review: "The sound from this little guy is amazing. I was expecting good quality sound, as UE (owned by Logitech) makes great products. I was surprised, though, at how much you notice the lower tones and bass from this thing. It has a full sound and is multidirectional, so you get good coverage wherever you are standing in relation to the speaker. It also gets quite loud, so if you enjoy that, you won't miss anything here. It feels robust and durable. The charging cable that comes with it is flat, so it folds really nice and small for travel without tangling. All of the buttons are tactile but also low profile, which is excellent. Overall, I am 100% happy with this purchase. You really cannot go wrong buying this. Bonuses: it is waterproof, floats in water, and can be paired with another Wonderboom for even bigger sound at parties without the need for any app or phone software." —Greg L.

Easy to use, and it kept its charge all day. We got great footage of our trip, and I loved how we could switch modes very quickly. I could not imagine any better quality even with a Go Pro. If I lost it, no big deal. This camera took GREAT pictures and video, and we have our memories preserved!" —Mark R. Griffin

Get it from Amazon for $54.99+ (available in three colors).

    32. A sous vide precision cooker so their steaks will always be cooked to absolute perfection.

Sous vide, which means “under vacuum” in French, refers to the process of vacuum-sealing food in a bag, then cooking it to a very precise temperature in a water bath. This method ensures maximum tenderness and moisture retention — without worry of overcooking.

Promising review: "I like the simplicity of this thing. It doesn't connect to a phone, and it only has half degree adjustments. Do you need those things though? It does take a bit longer to reach the desired temperature, particularly anything over 165°F, but it holds the temp once it gets there. I've cooked corned beef for 42 hours, flatiron steak for 24 hours, strips for two hours without a hiccup. Individual cheesecakes, Starbucks egg-bite knockoffs, sealing mason jars, the best asparagus you've ever had. Everything I've thrown at this thing has impressed me so far." —Mike R.

    35. A pretty yoga mat to get them pumped for exercising in the new year.,

This yoga mat is made through non-toxic, emissions-free manufacturing. It's 100% latex-free. Manduka offers a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. If the product wears out from regular use under normal conditions, they will replace the product, regardless of where it was purchased!

Promising review: "Immediately loved this mat when I pulled it out of its wrapper. I'm currently training to become a yoga teacher and decided it was time to buy myself a mat that didn't come from TJ Maxx. I had no idea how impactful a mat could be on my practice. I can hold poses longer, my hands and feet don't slip or slide in poses, and my joints are comfortable when I place them on the mat for poses (typically my knees will hurt a lot with other yoga mats when putting pressure on them on the mat, so it's refreshing that this mat doesn't feel ultra squishy to the touch but still has the easiness on my joints that a super squishy mat would have). Because the mat doesn't have a thick padded layer, it rolls up really well and doesn't curl on the ends, it also grounds you better so you feel more stable in balancing poses; There's a springiness that keeps it cushy, though. It does smell a little initially, it's a typical natural rubber smell, but it does go away if you leave it outside to air out. Awesome mat and totally worth the money!" —Jayme

Get it from Amazon for $31.49+ (available in two lengths and 14 colors).

My coworkers have bought many more llamas which they have named and now love. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made from UO." —Posey_RN

    38. A bright and cheerful planner can get them feeling so excited for 2019.

Promising review: "Is it January yet? I am so psyched to start using this. I've been reaching to find plans in 2019 just so I can start filling it in. The size is great, and the colors are so fun and inviting! There's something to discover on every page. The vibe of the planner is positive and empowering, which sounds weird to say of a planner, but it's true. The layout makes a ton of sense for the way I plan, and there are a ton of blank lined note pages, way more than I've seen in other planners I've tried. There's probably actually enough to last the entire year! The stickers and coloring pages are a fun touch, too. This may just be my perfect planner." —BRITTANY A.

Promising review: "Not only do these pajamas hold their shape quite well, but they also wash well, are comfortable, and the button holes do not stretch out. The fabric is the perfect weight for year-round comfort if one is more cold-natured as I am. The color is exactly as depicted in the photo. If you like your pajamas on the loose side, I would buy them in the size you think you need. If you like them to fit more true to size, I would buy a size down from your normal size." —dawn jordan

Promising review: "I have had problems with acne since my pre-teen years. I used everything from prescription topical acne creams to the very serious antibiotic, Accutane (which was not fun). I've had phases of clear skin to terrible breakouts, which is why I was amazed when after using this product only a few times, I noticed a shift in my skin. I use this every morning and night, especially before and after workouts, and about once or twice a week, I'll use the exfoliating (black and white) brush. This product is absolutely amazing and I would definitely try it out for yourself if you're debating." —Jessica Parman

    46. A brand new Echo Dot (now with better sound) so they'll have their very own little helper named Alexa who can control smart home devices, read the news, set alarms, answer questions, and more.

Promising review: "I had no idea I'd love Alexa so much — I wake up in the morning and she does the routine I've set up. My husband and I played Skills trivia games for hours last night. If we had kids, it would be even more useful (kid's workouts, stories, games) — we even had a goodnight story read to us by Alexa, and it was awesome. I'm really loving it. The Echo Dot itself is pretty great — the sound quality is pretty good, the bass, when turned up, is not that great, but if you really want to rock out, you can connect it to other speakers or just use something else instead. I'm really surprised by how much I like the Alexa app (and the Echo Dot), because I'm a little resistant to technology, but it's pretty easy to figure out and feels like a new little buddy in the home. I'm excited to get some smart-home stuff now so I can turn on/off lights, heat, etc. The only tiny issue I have is that for some reason Alexa doesn't pick up my husband's voice as much as it does mine — maybe because I've used it more? Really cool, though, overall. I feel like Judy Jetson!" —Leah

Well, I still have my first original Nintendo. But this tiny little machine is just a great tour de force given the number of games AND the ability to SAVE!!! Highly recommend this for any geek, gamer, or collector of all things tech, nerd/geek, nostalgia. Worth every penny. 52. A cushy yet supportive travel pillow that'll be the closest thing to upgrading to first class without actually doing so.

It has two Velcro straps that can attach it to any headrest.

Promising review: "I just got my Cabeau Evolution S3 Pillow and love the straps on the back. I hate it when I fall asleep on a flight and my head is bobbing around all over the place. The straps will also be nice when I have to get up on the flight so I don't have to figure out what to do with it while I'm up. It will just stay in place on my headrest. The pocket on the side is a nice size and is big enough to hold my iPhone 7 and leaves it sticking out just enough to make the earphone plug accessible." —Wayne
