McDonald's Announced Their New Plant-Based Burger, The P.L.T.

Meet the "P.L.T." — Plant, Lettuce, Tomato.

If you've been watching the many releases of plant-based burgers and faux chicken products to come out this year, you might have been waiting to see what McDonald's move in the space would be.

Well, hold on to your hats, because today we learned that McDonald's will begin its foray into meat-free meals on Monday.

Meet the P.L.T. – it stands for Plant, Lettuce, Tomato, and is a lot like their other burgers, but made with a Beyond Meat patty.

This new burger will arrive in 28 locations in Canada starting September 30, so if you're a local you can check it out at these locations:

Per the McDonald's blog, the burger will be priced at $6.49 CAD plus tax.

So that's exciting! In the meantime, I'll be thinking of reasons to plan a trip to Canada before the 12 weeks are over.

Will you be trying this new burger? Let us know in the comments!
