Don't waste money on light dimming stickers. Make your own from envelope paper. It's not as aesthetic as the stickers but it works. Use envelopes from the government or bank. They make those ones super opaque so people can't shine bright lights onto them and read your mail.

I know they are in a nice neighbourhood, or I assume they are in a nice neighbourhood but from what I hear about the sidewalks in LA, I would be wearing shoes. I know they have a homelessness crisis and the sidewalks have feces, needles and trash.
