"Astrology is like the clock on the wall," Maren told BuzzFeed. "The clock isn’t causing the current time of day to correspond with 5 p.m., but it’s telling us that it is so. Similarly, astrology is a symbolic mirror for reality. It isn’t causing anything, but it is correlating with specific events. When we can become familiar with this symbolism and its corresponding world events, coupled with expertise to be able to predict certain contexts, we can become skilled at predicting."

When I asked Maren what stood out the most to her — astrologically speaking — about the presidential election, she told me that a lot of it comes down to eclipses.

"Eclipses, indications of structural downfall, are in play, so it was clear that even though I could see the Biden-Harris ticket with more success, there would be an incredible test to our democracy in the process," Maren said. "There are also some clear parallels to the 2000 election, and we can see the resonance currently with delays and frustrations in vote count."
