This Girl On Tumblr Wrote A Post About Why People Get Divorced And Now I'll Never Look At Love The Same Way Again

"People fall out of love for the same reasons they fell in it."

This is Taylor Myers, a 25-year-old poet from Ohio. Recently, she shared a prose piece on her Tumblr about a class she took called "Relationships for Life." To put it simply, her post BLEW 👏 UP. 👏

Okay, that's all for now. Keep scrolling!!!

In her piece, Myers explained that "people fall out of love for the same reasons they fell in it":

And naturally, Tumblr died a little:

Howevs, Myers later added that she was "bitter and sad" when she wrote the piece, and realized she had forgotten to include the uplifting lessons the class taught her:

TL;DR, Myers' professor asked the students, "Is love a feeling or is it a choice?" Unsurprisingly, the whole class initially answered that it was a feeling.

But then, the teacher made the argument that love was actually a choice, saying that ~feelings~ of love would fade and couples have to make the ~choice~ to identify issues and openly communicate about them.

This concept hit Tumblr, like, HARD:

So the moral of this story, kids? The teacher believes that people in happy marriages and relationships CHOOSE love. They don't always feel it.

So now, after reading this...
