Somebody Edited Steve Harvey's Face To Make A Point About Instagram And OMG It's Too Real

A lesson in what NOT to do.

Listen. I love Instagram, but there's one thing that absolutely drives me crazy about it: people who edit their own faces to the point that they no longer look like themselves.

Nowadays, there are lots of programs that let you do this — most famously, an app called Facetune.

And look, Facetune can certainly come in handy sometimes. If you've got a big zit or a shiny forehead or whatever — by all means, edit it away if you want to!

But there's a difference between a light retouching...and completely re-editing your face so you look like a wax figure in Madame Tussauds.

So recently, an edited picture of Steve Harvey went viral, and I think this image should be REQUIRED VIEWING before anyone is allowed to start an Instagram account. PLEASE LOOK:

THIS IS NOT WHAT A HUMAN FACE LOOKS LIKE, FOLKS!

For the record, Steve Harvey himself did not edit this pic, nor did he post it on Instagram. It was created by Twitter user @MANICSPICE, and it should serve as an important lesson to us all.

Hey, at the end of the day, do whatever the hell makes you happy. But for the record, I think your face is ~BEAUTIFUL~ just the way it is. No Barbie-doll complexion necessary!

Share this PSA far and wide, folks: We need more human faces on Instagram!
